The nail we use today, in theory, is basically the same design used when they were first created. The purpose of the nail is still the same today, and plays many different roles. The only major change in the nail from then until now is how they are produced. When nails were first invented, nails were generally made of bronze or wrought-iron. Until the 1800’s nails were made by hand.
There comes a time in every young girl's life where her nails are everything to her. For me that time came in middle school. Every week I would paint my nails a different color. I felt like life was not complete when my nails were not done. I began to notice that more and more girls in my grade began to get fake nails.
Henna is a very old art, from over 5000 years ago. It is used in many traditions cultures and countries. It is so old that historians cannot definitely say where it originated from. It is used as a way of self expression, and for joyous occasions. This essay will be stating information about the history, uses, medicinal uses, the traditions and beliefs of Henna and the different styles in which Henna can be painted.
The color I chose to paint my nails was a nudish pink color, sort of like a muted mauve. I chose it because it was soft in color and not too bold. In addition, it would match any and all of my outfits. When I looked at the finished painting of my nails, I went to judge how well the paint job was performed, whether it was streaky, opaque, and clean. During this time colouring and staining of the fingernails was extremely common within the Chinese culture. Men and women would use beeswax, egg white and rose petals’ to brew a bright polish. Methods such as these would turn out to be quite lengthy, as this procedure required the nails to be soaked in the mixture for several hours’. In Chinese culture only the wealthy were permitted to wearing bright colours. Poorer citizens were only permitted to wear dull colours and defiance would result in the death penalty.
Decorating the nails is actually one of the many perks of being a woman. We all have been exposed to different and endless ways of adding a pop to one's set of nails, such as the legendary French tip, the bold one-toned polish, the matte finishes and the various types of nail art. Slowly, women succumbed into getting the fad no matter how absurd it looked at first, and since riding the waves of trends are deemed fabulous, once a nail style picks up a fire, it will spread ceaselessly. One of the most famous nail trends circulating around social media moguls such as Instagram and Twitter is the innocuously looking photos of nails that are like fanciful nail arts but blatantly on a different family. Hashtags say that this craze is called as bubblenails.
