Introduction The North Shore Long Island Jewish (North Shore LIJ) Health system is the largest health care organization in New York State with seventeen hospitals, three skilled nursing facilities, almost 400 ambulatory care practices. North Shore LIJ is the nation’s fourteenth largest health care institution and currently services the Long Island, Staten Island, Manhattan, and Queens areas.
