My Visit To The Riverside Methodist Hospital In Columbus, Ohio

Tammy I arrived at the hospital at 9:00 a.m. with my father, my sister, Haley, and my niece, Ava. It was a long and quiet hour long drive to the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. My father dropped us off in the blue parking lot then went to find a spot there. As we first walked in I admired how exquisite the design of the hospital was; the high ceilings, the wood flooring, and even the light fixtures all caught my eye and dazzled me. I’ve always been one to be enchanted by the sophistication of the design of great buildings and their interior decorations. But I wasn’t there with my family to marvel at the design of the building, we were there because my Aunt Tammy just had a heart attack.
Aunt Tammy had her oldest daughter, Clarissa, visit her and her youngest daughter, Cambryia, to visit and watch movies. Late in the night when they had fallen asleep Cambryia had noticed something was wrong with her mother and yelled for Clarissa to help. They called 911 and gave her CPR until the paramedics arrived. They transported her to Mary Rutan Hospital. Aunt Tammy’s heart had stopped but they were able to get it beating again at the hospital but she was not breathing and there was very little brain activity so they had her care-flighted to the Riverside Methodist Hospital and began a procedure to try and get her

My father, my sister, and myself went into the room prior to going to the waiting room to say our final goodbyes to Aunt Tammy. We went into the room as my Uncle Travis and his wife and kids were walking out. We walked right beside her and stood there for several minutes. As our turn was reaching the end of its time Haley walked up to the bed and held her hand then kissed her forehead then I did the same.
