The only thing my family loves more than each other is travelling. My grandparents on both sides of my family travel the majority of year, but only one set loves Disney World. The trips to Disney started at a very young age and quickly became an every-other-year family vacation. My dad’s parents and my parents have been Disney Club members for over almost 20 years now so they rack up points very quickly which helps make the trip much cheaper (also my grandparents pay for most of it). Disney was such a good place because there were things for my whole family to do no matter what age.
My family was very happy as we prepared for our trip. I was twelve years old and my brother, Jobie, was ten. My dad had told us for years about his first trip to Disney Land in California when he was a young Marine. He told us about all the great rides and how he had to go on It’s a Small World with a fellow Marine. He said all the boats were full of families or with couples in love, and there he was stuck in a boat with another Marine.
That day was one of the best days I have ever had. I was genuinely happy for once. The next day we woke up got all ready in our disney gear and headed for the park. My mom had gotten a call the night before from one of her customers that lives in California saying her husband works there so if we wanted we could get in for free instead of buy tickets when we got there. This was a huge blessing because we really didn’t have the money to go but my mom wanted it to work so she moved some payments around but we didn’t have to worry about it because we got in for
Almost all American families take a vacation. Whether it be only a few hours down the interstate or to the other side of the country, families like taking trips together. From camping in the mountains to fishing in the Caribbean, every family has a “spot” that they go to make memories and enjoy each other’s company. For my family, there is always one place we will visit every year, almost like a pilgrimage. That place is Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, my favorite place in the world.
It was a relief because we all knew that going through those difficult days was over. What topped the trip off for me and my family was that everything was free, and I got to pick my dream car to ride around, Orlando Florida in. Going on rides with a free flash pass, staying in nickelodeon hotel for a week, to free breakfast lunch, and dinner. Waken up to gifts every morning to seeing my family smile made me cry. This family trip had brought my family closer than ever and we made lots of
My friends and I where so excited to finally get to the beach that we just threw our bags in the rooms, and sprinted straight towards the water to get in. The first day was ending and then we get a surprise, nobody knew that the house was split in half; therefore, another family showed up for the week and was staying right next to us. The family that showed up was a very nice family with kids our age, so the week automatically had got better. As we introduce ourselves, us teenagers tell the parents that we were going to explore the pier that was just down the beach. Everyone was a little shy at first but somebody had to break the ice with the answer that everyone wanted to know.
On our way back I was anxious to get back home so I could tell my friends about what I saw in Disney and in California and also to rest in my comfy bed. To this day I still remember that day like if it was yesterday and it’s been about 10 years since my parents took us, and personally it has been one of the best vacations we had taken.
The best vacation of my life was when my uncle invited me to join his daughters and him on a trip to Las Vegas , San Fransico, and San Diego. I still remember the feeling of joy that rushed through me like goosebumps when my mothers brother Jorge mentioned to me If I would like to go with him on a vacation. Of course I said yes but I was getting ahead of myself
“Come with me. It’ll be fun.” Teri could be very persuasive when she wanted to be. And anytime fun was involved, she wanted to be. Shopping in Des Moines was always a treat but neither had been to the new shopping mall. Teri had made it through another year of classes while working full time and she needed to celebrate.
Last year was my sister’s senior year, as many of you may know, most people take a trip during their senior year typically referred to as a senior trip. In my family, it is a fact that my sister loves Disney, and when I say loves I mean is completely obsessed with it. So, as you may have inferred by now, my sister chose to go to Disney World for her senior trip. Like almost any kid, I was more than excited when I found out I was going to Disney. “I love Disney,” I said “Me too,” my sister said “Are you ready,” my mom said “Yes,” my sister and I said simultaneously When it came time for the trip we packed everything up, and loaded it into the car to begin our trip.
