My Political Ideology In The United States

An ideology is a mixture of primary and secondary ways to view the world. In many cases, people are raised with a specific ideology; for example, baseball teams or preferences in drinks and food. The American ideology is liberalism. This ideology was created from the puritans and since then liberalism has been a part of American theory. The American ideology comes from the idea that the individual precedes the government. I am an Egyptian citizen and my country’s ideology is conservatism, but my own personal ideology is Liberalism. I believe in equality, rationalism, individualism, freedom, but I do not believe in the free market. My country believes in stability, concreteness, and human fallibility. The reason I compare both is because my political ideology is liberalism, but in the way I act in my every day life I am conservative. I feel that it’s dangerous to put too much power in the government. In my opinion, every individual has the right to make his or her own decision without the government regulating his or her rights. On the other hand, absolute freedom and equality is naïve and every government regulates its people’s rights in one-way or another. I had an American education so it was always drilled in me the idea of liberalism. In addition to that, I was in a very international school. It’s when you have a conversation with someone from Saudi Arabia and someone from Switzerland that you realize that everyone thinks differently because of the way they were raised. And each side can convince you with their ideology and you realize that each side has the freedom to speak, freedom of religion, and deserve basic human rights.
