The foundation of this relationship is trust. The leaders themselves must be ethical in their decisions and actions in order to influence others to behave accordingly. Ethical leadership is to know one’s core values and having the courage to live them through one’s life. Ethics and leaders go hand in hand; ethics is the heart of leadership.
Ethics, by definition are the moral principles that govern a person’s behavior. Implementing ethics is essential in any given society. This paper will introduce the purpose of ethics as well as the values that are shared throughout American society, Subjective Relativism and the threats that are posed from this, and Utilitarianism as a way of life. Ethical behavior can be considered as behavior that society and other individuals typically believe are good values to possess. Ethical behavior involves demonstrating respect for key moral principles which includes honesty, fairness, diversity as well as individual rights.

Ethics means doing what one believes is the right and best choice for them and what is right to me might not be right to others. Virtues, responsibilities, obligations, and believes all contribute to how people see and analyze things. We are all diverse in how we see and comprehend situations and how we feel about each situation will change how we reason our actions. So should ethics be base on reasons or feelings? I believe that it should be the base on both.
Any action that goes against the principles of that community is unethical. Therefore, by operating under the foundation of the will to do good unto others, I believe the code is good code because it considers the welfare of everyone, not just one individual. As time goes by, it is important to review the values one has so as ensure that necessary changes are made when the needs of the community
We try to be like people who are liked and we try to avoid being like people who are looked down upon. A moral system is informal and can have vague and general rules, while a legal system must have specific, fairly well defined rules. Although the thought of moral ethics might bore people, especially teens and young adults, they are a pretty important thing for us as a community to know. We all have opinions, and strong beliefs on many things and topics. Just knowing and understanding the importance of moral ethics can improve the way we think and more importantly the way we act and respond.
