Autobiography My nursing experience and application of nursing theory is still relatively young. I attended Georgia Southwestern for my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from which I graduated in 2016. Prior to this I obtained my CNA license in high school which was my first introduction to patients. It was at this point that I decided that I wanted to provide quality compassionate and the best medical treatment possible to people. Since graduation I have begun to work at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, GA; and began nurse practitioner school. At Houston, I started work as a Nurse Extern on an acute medical floor. The opportunity to work as a nurse extern prior to graduation and up until the point of passing boards allowed to begin my journey to comprehending and applying nursing theory. This particular med-surg floor relied heavily on the best nurses they had to teach new nurses. I took this experience with me post boards with me, post boards to the Emergency Department. I believe the ED provides me with the broadest spectrum of patients which increase my repertoire of knowledge of disease treatment modalities. …show more content…

As one of the newest nurses in the ER currently and one of a handful able to do these I have strived to learn as much as possible in regards to patient care, while leaving behind none of the nursing metaparadigms.
