Daft defined leadership to be “an influence relationship among leaders and followers who intend real changes and outcomes that reflect their shared purpose” (Daft, 2018, pg. 5). Being a leader involves creating change for those who do not have the guidance to better themselves. Leader influence others to become ‘one’ and help those around them to have a vision. I myself want to be a leader who makes a mark in many lives. Moreover, taking chances is what helps me continue to discover who I am, in fact, opportunity is an action I take advantage of because I want my knowledge to expand. As Daft mentioned, I want to be a leader who guides people to create a vision for themselves, build relationships, and creates outcomes. The type of leader I want to be three years from now is a Physical therapist, who allows individuals to believe in themselves. Physical therapist helps reduce pain and improve mobility, most of the time without costly surgery. I want to be a leader in which the influence theory is being put into action in order to accomplish many goals. An influence theory is a “Leader that influence people to change by providing an inspiring vision of the future…” (Daft, pg. 18). Individuals will see me as a role model who took the time and dedication to help those create a vision and one day be able to achieve it. Moreover, I see myself accomplishing the role as an advisory leader. An advisory leader is known to be leader who “provide guidance and support to other people and departments in the organization” (Daft, 2018, pg. 43). In past experience, I have provided all sorts of guidance and support to organizations that result with others leader, informing me that without my help, they would not have achieved the work because of my creativity and
