My passion is serving others. I want to be able to work in a job that helps people and performs tasks for people that they might not want to do themselves. My goals for this passion is to graduate with a degree that allows me to work in a career field that enables me to work within my passion. I want to then join the U.S. Army and work as a combat engineer which would allow me to use my engineering skills while working in a career that allows me to serve people. I hope that after ten years I will still be able to work in the Army while being promoted within their ranks. These are my goals to positively impact society.

It is important at this stage of my academic career because a freshman may not know exactly what they want to accomplish in life. The model helps them find what they want to do exactly. A second reason it is important at this stage is so that they can identify what skills they would need to obtain for their passion. Knowing what skills they need can help them identify what classes would be beneficial for them so that they don’t waste any time or money. A third reason that thinking about the model at this point is important is so that they can see if their current major is the only way for them to achieve their goals. Knowing that there are other options for majors can help a student identify what major would help them most and which major would be the easiest to work …show more content…
The first skill was to be proficient in math. This is because engineers use math for almost everything. The second skill was communication. Communication is extremely important since not everyone will understand the language engineers use, but they still need to be able to follow what they say. The third skill was to be a leader. This is important because when working in teams it is necessary for someone to take charge and choose the direction the team will go in while completing an assignment. The fourth skill was discipline. It is important for engineers to be organized and for them to meet deadlines. This can come from being disciplined. The last skill was to be able to work in a team. This is important because an engineer won’t do everything on their own, so they need to be able to work efficiently and effectively in a team. The knowledge and skills that I would need to acquire can be gained from a degree in
Throughout my adult life, my passion has been to help others. I have always been driven to make the world we live in a better place, even if it is just for that one person. My passion and drive have been the influencing factors in my personal history, my interest in Therapeutic Recreation and my academic and career goals.
...e of my goals in life; to be able to give back to the community that has seen me grow and to make the people I love proud of me. Although I aspire to be an officer I would really want to go far beyond being a traffic officer or a patrol officer I really hope to reach my goal to work as a federal law enforcer. I grew up watching many television shows such as COPS, criminal minds, cold case, without a trace, and it has always caught my attention to do work closer to criminal profiling, behavioral analysis. Not only did I grow up watching such television shows but I also has a really tough childhood experience that has led to me wanting to make a difference and I know I may not be able to make a huge difference but as long as I am able to help a few citizens that will do for me. My dream has always been to do something great and that is exactly what I will do.
First off, I want to graduate from college and do it well. I want to be able to do things on the weekends and not worry about having to make things up or anything like that. I am hoping for a scholarship in football, in my opinion that would be a great start for me in college. Then after college maybe pursue that as a career. If that doesn't work out for me then I want to look into athletic training or physical therapy. If those things don't interest me or I don't get into it I am then looking into law. That will take much more time and patience, but it's gonna be the rest of my life.
I aspire to become a leader in my family and community inspiring those around me to maximize life to its fullest potential. To use my God given gifts and talents to apply the principles necessary, to make a significant difference in the lives of others. To live a balanced life challenging myself intellectually as well as allowing time for my mind to rest and do things I enjoy. To look at life through a child’s eyes, not being distressed about the past or worrying about the future. All the while dancing like nobody’s watching.
My ambitions in life include going to college to earn a bachelor's degree in physics and then going on to medical school to earn a degree in neurology. I will then be able to complete a residency in an effort to become a neurosurgeon. As for my life purpose I believe that it is to help people as much as I am able so that they are able
My mission statement would be that I seek to better myself and my community through the furthering of my educaion and intentional, purposeful living. Rather than go through life just working and paying bills, I would like to make a difference. This ties largely into my two biggest goals, which are to become a nurse and at the same time, raise a family. When I was in high school, much of my future plan was what my parents told me I should do. They had high expectations, and I always agreed with them. I always wanted to go into the medical field because I love people, and the fact that medical professions often have hgiehr incomes meant a lot towards my other goals of having a family. My mom wanted me to become a Radiologist, so that's what I told people I was going to be for a long time.
There are many factors that a student must consider when choosing a major. Most of the time student chooses a major that they think that allows them to earn the most money, and forgetting about the factor that they are able to pass the class or not. Most of the students are focused only on the money, no matter what kind of major it is. The student now a day’s does not take the time to figure out what is it that they would like to do in their career. Most students are taking up a major in business administration, which has more chance of making money faster and easier than the rest of the majors. The factors that a student must consider when choosing a major are whether the student would get good grades in the classes of that major or not, another factors are that how much that major is going to cost them to complete. Many students does not get any financial aid and end up having to drop out of college due to the lack of money, and whether that major is promising or not; for instance will it give that student a good job or not after graduation.
I consider myself a driven, honest, hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated individual. I love to learn, to work, to improve, and most of all to help others. My life goal is to positively impact the lives of others and furthermore the community. While I can not predict how exactly I will do this I start by treating others well, helping out where help is needed, and dedicating myself to my education where I will expand my knowledge and acquire new skills.
Growing up I had always been asked the infamous question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?", and my answer had always been a shrug or a simple "I don 't know yet". If I was asked the same question now, I could confidently and very passionately say, "I want to be a doctor; a humanitarian who brings positive change in someone 's life.". It seems like a very general statement but I truly hope to one day become somebody who can use her expertise and profession to help others.
Engineers are valuable assets to any company because they think analytically. Engineers may advance to become technical specialists or to supervise a staff or team of engineers and technicians. Some eventually become engineering managers or enter other managerial or sales jobs.
* Engineers must be able to work as part of a team. The ability to

In the college success strategies (COLL 101) class, we had explored various areas of future possibility. Throughout the quarter, We sketched out the big pictures of the future. My goal is to go to college and then have a career. It 's a goal that probably a lot of people have,
“A student of life considers the world their classroom” – Harvey MacKay. This quote exemplifies what I aspire to become, a student of life. This is a person who is constantly learning, growing, and evolving, and using the lessons they learn as their platform. In order for one to become a student of life, I believe that learning experiences don’t necessarily always have to happen in the classroom. I have found that through traveling and real life experiences, my way of thinking about life and how things happen has been shaped with a broader understanding of knowledge, rather than just by sitting in a classroom and taking notes. I feel strongly that the traditional model of learning is very effective and that there is much to be learned in this manner, however being able to take what you learn and apply it on a much deeper level through visiting new places and experiencing new cultures and cuisines has helped me develop myself further and become a more well rounded individual.
