By determine the priority for future development I look at the ability that I score high, medium and low to determine which ne was priority for me to develop for my future development. The following managerial abilities are ranked High for Level of Priority for Future Development: This ability is of medium importance to my future career and my current Empathy, Pattern Recognition, Written Communication, Culture Awareness, Persuasiveness and Quantitative Analysis. These managerial abilities are not at the level they should be. Improving these areas to a higher level will enable me to be a better manager. Empathy: This ability is of high importance to my future career and my current ability is “Often shown”. Being able to consistently and accurately read and understand why people do the things they do will help me to know what motivates them. Pattern Recognition: This ability is of high importance to my future career and my current ability is “Seldom shown”. Being able to recognize patterns “frequently and consistently” would enable me to see if a problem is emerging and think of solutions to correct it. Written Communication: This ability is of high importance to my future career and my current ability is “Occasionally shown”. Being able to frequently and consistently show the ability to write properly would lead to better understanding when writing corresponding or send out e-mail. Cultural Awareness: This ability is of high importance to my future career and my current ability is “Occasionally shown”. Making sure that you are on top of the latest programs and systems is important to accomplishing the goals of the organization. All of these managerial abilities should be frequently improved. Not keeping up with these abilities will not let you reach the goal to be a good manager. If a manager show “Often or “Frequently and consistently shown” on their abilities for future development then they can work on the areas that they are medium for future development. Once all of the managerial abilities are at the “Often shown” or “Frequently and Consistently Shown” level then they will have to work on maintaining this level
