“Oh, San Francisco, you never let me down” I said after watching a group of young kids break dancing down on the end of Pier 39. Tourists were coming from all directions to throw a few bucks in the enormous bucket labeled “tips”. My friend Joey couldn’t believe his eyes going on to say “they make more tips in one show then I do working all day!” Coming from the Bay area, San Francisco has always been my favorite get away. I’m able to spend hours in The City with no prior planning at all. I love San Francisco for its amazing scenery, outstanding choices in food, as well as its unique culture and people.

Being right on the water, San Francisco is home to some of the greatest sea food around. It has exciting chain restaurants such as The Hard Rock Café, Bubba Gumps, and of course the Rainforest café. There’s also plenty of mom and pop restaurants that are exclusive to San Francisco like the pubs on the corner and the late night pizza spot. My favorite place to go is to the Fog Harbor Fish House on pier 39 on Embarcadero Street. It’s got fresh fish like salmon and Mahi Mahi caught from earlier that day and has spectacular views of the bay bridge since it’s on the second level of the pier. The waiters wear a white button up shirt and black tie, white cloth napkins and a nice white tablecloth. I always order some fresh crispy calamari rings that I drench in lemon and dip in marinara sauce, followed up with the sea food pasta with fresh halibut, clams, creamy alfredo sauce and an enormous piece of garlic bread. It smells like heaven. After that I head across the street to the Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory and get myself a huge scoop of rocky road ice cream for
