My family wasn’t always so dysfunctional; I believe it really went downhill once my parents got divorced. But I suppose that’s jumping the gun a bit, let’s start from the beginning. I was born on October 15, 1997, into a happily married family with two boys, one almost two years old and the other about 5 years old. My family and I used to always go away on mini family vacations like to florida, virginia, Pennsylvania, etc. Since I was so young, most of the things that I remember are the things that I was told, like the fact that I was the biggest brat in the whole world. I was such a brat, that every single place I went I had to make a scene. If we went to Mcdonald’s for example, I would run all around even if I was told to stop. Apparently, …show more content…

As a punishment he was put under house arrest in Pennsylvania, so he had to commute daily from his job in brooklyn back to Pennsylvania. From the time when he was on house arrest which was about five months, I saw my dad about four times. He ended up missing me and my brothers graduation because his probation officer wouldn’t let him get a pass, considering the fact there was a possibility of alcohol being present. He had another encounter with the law just last year where he was put into jail for again, driving while intoxicated. My brother had to go the precinct to pick up my dad’s car, while my dad had to spend the night in jail. Once my dad and my brother made eye contact he just put his head down and shook his head. His punishment this time was his license being suspended for a year and he had to take a drinking and driving class. My dad never told me about this incident, and till this
