Since my early childhood, I developed a passion for the field of psychology that motivated
me in procuring a set of diverse skills and experiences. I grew in a joyful family with few
troubles, and my father and mother lived in a happy relationship. Yet, I realized that many
other relatives, including some of my friend’s families are struggling to experience the same
amount of contentment with family relation as myself. Initially, I chose to incline my field of
expertise towards psychology by enrolling to the Renin University of China. This experience
showed great results as I noticed a significant improvement in my perception of the human
behavior from where I started analyzing every possible person developing various scenarios

For this reason, while I was involved in working for
children with autism I once again came up with different psychological strategies to make
improvement in their lives and to enhance the overall perception of people toward autism.
Furthermore, volunteering for The United Nations Children 's Fund (UNICEF) not only
provided me with a better vision in regards to my academic field but it also improved me at
a professional level.
I decisively have confidence in the interests and ideals being the best teachers and I cherish
every lecture and practice because I was increasingly enjoying every learning process. I am
interested to make effective use of my knowledge and interest in the psychology for the
improvement in marriage and family therapy. Hence, I am applying for this particular
program at ULV to revolutionize its field of research and improve the existing ways of
solving the appropriate issues. In addition, I believe that the tendency in our current century
is to emphasize on the micro research of counselling activities and my background in
psychology can greatly contribute to the development of such.
After completing the program, I intend to become a psychotherapist, and I would also like
During my first semester in college, when I was enrolled in Intro to Psychology (Psych 101) I established a new love for school and learning. I began so engrossed in every aspect of it that I never wanted class to end. It was from then on that I decided to pursue my B.A. in psychology. After completing three years, I realized that there is still so much knowledge to be obtained in this field. Therefore, I want to continue my education at the Queens College School of Psychology Graduate Program.
I sense that there is an importance to learn the various aspects of our minds and how it works to navigate through our information rich environment and to embrace the similarities and differences that we have. I personally hope that psychology will help me understand my place in this world and how, with the knowledge I have acquired to the study of psychology, help make the world an easier place to live in. There has been too many a time where we humans have made uneducated decisions that affected the lives of other people and regret to tell the tale. I wish that each and every individual will have the chance to learn psychology to further understand our thoughts and behavior because, with psychology, we have a greater chance to mold a better future for the next

It is hard to pinpoint the exact moment I knew I wanted to become a psychologist because as previously stated, the journey is complex and dates back to my childhood. When I was four years old, my parents adopted my 14 year old cousin after both her parents passed away. Her father died of AIDS while in
When I began my studies at the University of Northern Iowa, I had an interest in the field of psychology, but I was not yet sure that I wanted to pursue a career in that area. The classes that I consequently took and the professors that taught them solidified my desire to receive a degree in psychology.
The first step in my plan is to obtain a Bachelor’s in Science concentrated in Psychology to enhance my knowledge of the world and how we interact with it while building a foundation in the professional and technical skills needed as I continue my education at the graduate level. A science designation will allow me to focus up to 50% of my attention toward both experim...
I observe people around me and try to as well understand their actions and why they react the way they do in certain situations. The more I realized that I like to help people with their problems, the more I realized that I was in the right field to help people understand their own life better. I don’t always have the answers but, I do what it takes to understand a situation more so that I am able to get the answers. I believe that my purpose is to help people understand their life a little better and speak great over their lives. I would mostly like to help children out so that I am able to help them understand their feelings. Children are usually more vulnerable than anyone else in the world. Becoming a practitioner scholar in this field means learning about different mental illness so that I am better prepared when I encounter different patients. I took and abnormal psychology class where we briefly went over each mental disorder but I would like to be able to go more in depth. During my time in this class we did several case studies, where I learned to diagnose different clients and give possible treatments. I would like to go beyond this method and learn more as I get more into clinical psychology. Also I would like to indulge more in
The practice of researching human behavior, which dates back to most ancient civilizations, has become better understood and more effective over time. This research led to modern psychology and has become increasingly broad since the first notion that one person could observe and measure the reasoning behind another person’s actions. Researchers in the field can study psychology as a whole or one of the various sub-disciplines that psychology breaks down into. These sub-disciplines range from the psychology of learning to fringe theoretical psychology. The men and women who conduct studies in the psychological field, referred to as psychologists, continue research in their sub-disciplines to add to the knowledge of the community. Psychologists focus on the study of the mind while clinicians treat individuals that suffer from psychological disorders. Now that I have covered psychology’s growth, I will move on to the ways that psychology currently impacts the world.
...y life is my family. My personal goals are to be an understanding and devoted wife and mother with a life that is well rounded. As for my professional goal, I want to be a modest and well respected psychologist.
My first semester in college, I took a Psychology 101 course and immediately knew I wanted to work in this field. I was drawn into different theories and how individual’s minds work. I always believed I was born to help others and guide them to success in life. I desire to help others because of my own personal struggles with mental illness. My unique perspective on mental illness allows me to empathize on a different level with individuals. I desire to give back and support to the community the way it was there for me during my dark times. I was lucky to have known from the start that psychology was my interest. I am excited to continue my education in the counseling field and become a future Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
I have also improved my creative and critical thinking skills. For example, the use of infographics in the conclusion of our presentation helped to filter down all the macro details mentioned in presentation into an easy to read format.
I began to get fascinated by our capitalist world’s economy at a very early age of my life. Growing up, I was incredibly curious to unravel how systems function, and this curiosity developed into a burning desire to learn how processes and organizations operate and run our world. As I started my first job, I realized how much I needed to be better acquainted with the science of money making and the scientific approaches to money management. Later on in my life, being within a company system, I wanted to see the big picture by learning where such a company stands in the midst of all other business interactions locally and internationally. Being involved in the company’s practices I started analyzing the methods used by my managers, the causes and consequences of their managerial choices.
This is my first semester in college. Being a new college student, I was very nervous about how college life went about and how I would manage school, work, and raising my child. Thankfully, this class is required for incoming students, or else I never would have thought to take it. Throughout this semester, I have learned more about myself, what I truly value, my personality type, my multiple intelligences, my learning style, and how these are all correlated to my long- term career goal.
My interest in public interest law, nonprofit advocacy, and social justice began at a very young age. My passion was influenced by my upbringing, as well as my journey down a path different from what my family and culture envisioned. It is this same divergent path that has led me to me to pursue the legal profession today.
An 11 years old kid lying on the ground in a dark room crying, shaking, and trembling with intense pain in both of his ears. The pain was similar to as if someone was hitting with some sharp object inside his ears and every time he would feel the shock of pain, he would pull both of his ears while enduring the pain. The pain would raise every couple of second and with each shock of pain, the kid would lose part of the hope that he had of surviving. He would experience so intense pain that he had never anticipated and all he could think of that “he is about to die.” This was the experience that I felt when I had a severe ear infection in both of my ears.
