Recommended: Punjabi culture quiz

Most of the times music can connect the human mind to his/her inner side that you've never thought you had. Music is nice way to express your feelings to others, just like through poetry. There are many different kinds of music in the world, we're not going to get connected to all the music but there is some that stand out and can catch your attention right away. I personally like to listen to Punjabi music from northern India. I was born in India and spoke the language the music was written in. I have a better feeling of Punjabi music than others. I feel more connected to punjabi music than any other different music in the world that I have listened to. Maybe that’s because I was born in Punjab and Punjabi is my first language. I just feel that Punjabi music is made from emotions. There is not offensive language used or naked girls used for publicity. The song “Sajde” by Arijit Singh is fully about its lyrics. The song starts off by a guy singing to his girl telling, “Because you're in my life, it feels like after many decades someone who was lost has found his way back home.” Arjit Singh then builds more emotions by saying “I was lover before you came to into my life but since you came i've became a different kind of lover.” Most artists tend to sing their music to relate with their audience but in India nobody does it better then Arijit …show more content…

I don't know if the lyrics of “Sajde” could've been used any better. Arijit Singh writes "Jis sehar ch mera yaar vasda, Ho itthe Rabb na koi udhaar labhda” which means in the city that you live in, nobody needs to find God in that city because Angel has made her home here in my city. Arijit Singh gives more credit to a human being then God. He says if I can find love in my city then I don't want to find God. Not all artists can go against God to write their song but that's what makes Arijit Singh different. He doesn't have anything against God its just another way to for him to express his feelings. Lot of his songs are about God and love, what's amazing to see is that he challenges God for his love as we all would do whenever we don't feel loved by someone or when someone leaves us.
