My Enthusiasm for Management Sudies

My enthusiasm for Management studies is fairly self-explanatory: people, throughout life, will either manage or be managed. In both situations management skills are essential.

The study, at high school level, of modules such as business economics, organizational behaviour and marketing has helped me to develop a stronger grasp of management fundamentals.

In the US, during a six-month International Exchange Programme at the Sun Prairie High School in Wisconsin, I took a Business course, which sparked an interest in the field.

Overall, I acquired knowledge related to organizational roles and responsibilities of businesses in society, including the services offered by banks and other financial institutions. In a team, I analysed business and community case studies related to topical issues, ethics and real situations. I researched and envisioned the development of a new product: an innovative tyre for the Turkish automotive company, Otosan.

I was also involved in preparing a comparative study of financial websites in order to identify and select optimum financial services; I interpreted a credit statement using correct banking terminology.

While analysing stock returns and Consumer Price Indices, I outlined several ways in which businesses provide consumer information. By means of group discussion, international articles and diverse advertisements, we compared smartphone brand names such as Apple, Microsoft and Blackberry, evaluating the reason why the latter is struggling to avoid the bankruptcy caused partly by poor advertising choices and weak marketing strategies. ...h level of computing and language skills. I am familiar with the MS Office package, as well as professional-based software such as Prezi and I am fluent in four languages: Italian, English, Spanish and French.

To summarize/conclude, I strongly believe that the right moment has come for me to undertake undergraduate studies, and I am eager to face the challenges that will follow. I wish to pursue an Undergraduate Management Degree to reach the goals I have set for myself and pursue the professional path that I have planned. I am determined, ambitious, and enthusiastic about continuing my studies in the field of Management. In this respect, I hope you will be able to offer me a place and enable me to further my career ambitions, because I believe that my academic and working capacities and background will contribute to enrich(ing) the environment of your institution.
