My Education Taught me to Never Give Up to Find Success

My education itself was an obstacle for improvement to become present in my learning. My fellow classmates all learned at a faster pace than I did, which made me believe that I was not capable of achieving my academical goals, and began to doubt myself. I have always had a passion for school, and even though I was not excelling to the best of my ability, or trying as hard as I thought I was capable of, I never gave up. Throughout the years I saw little improvement in my learning, but when the improvement became noticeable, I would get distracted, and I would end up back where I started. As I began attending Putnam Vocational Technical Academy I saw a large increase in my academical prowess, but it did not satisfy my urge to improve. During my Freshman year at Putnam, I managed to obtain the ability to balance out my grades, but there were other obstacles that became present. As I explored the shops in Putnam, the Allied Health program caught my attention, and I decided to commence a career in nursing. After the exploratory and after I got accepted into the nursing program, I got so entertained with the idea of having a head start in the medical field at a young age, that I lost track of my progress and began to slack off. Another obstacle became present during the middle of the school year, when I noticed that bullying was starting to become a huge problem in my community. As more stories emerged about teen suicide due to bullying on the news, I decided to take a stand against bullying. I became so intrigued with the idea of standing up for others and saving lives, that I created an anti-bullying group in the social-network known as Facebook. I named the group “National Anti-Bullying Month Start October Wear Purple If You're A... ... middle of paper ... ...of my senior year. With these situations becoming new obstacles in my education, and my own personal opinion toward the plans that are being presented, I will keep my head up and find a way to overcome these obstacles and extend my goals to a longer time period. My previous goal was to become the schools valedictorian, but my new goal is to get accepted into a good medical school. Having set my newly found goal, I have come to think that maybe Henry Fords was incorrect. Henry Fords once said that “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off of your goals”, and that is why I continue setting more goals. I believe that obstacles signify that I am close to accomplishing my goal, so I set more goals because when I go to college, I can be look back on my high school years and be proud of how far I have made it in those short four years.
