“Over time, habits become automatic, learned behaviors, and these are stronger than habits you are trying to incorporate into your life.” (Foreyt) My eating patterns have changed throughout time but in all I do believe that my eating is a habit. I have been accustomed to certain foods, what my mom thought me to make, and what I have learned to make are foods that I stick by rather than changing it up. What I eat has changed from when I was younger to now. Even though my eating habits have not been all that good throughout my life I know that I have maintained a good eating habit all throughout.
My eating habits have not been a consistent balance. At times I was eating good and other times not so good. I now try to eat healthy and try not to eat out as much. This can be hard since going back to school involves me to be out during dinner time. Me not being able to sit down and have dinner with my family causes me to leave and grab something to go or if something is made then I grab what was made and take it with me. It is not the only reason as to why my eating habits have changes throughout the years. My kids, husband, and other family members have changed how I eat and what I eat. I’m going to take you along and briefly tell you about my eating habits throughout my years from when I was younger to now.
My eating pattern has always been eating in and eating out. When I was younger we ate in, homemade food was the best. My mom’s enchiladas, tacos, and posole were amazing. May dads home cooked meals were great too, his tortas, menudo, and grilling. We would eat out every once in a great while. We would go get McDonalds or order pizza. This occasionally happened when my parents wouldn’t have time to cook from getting home late or no...

...the way you’re raised. Everyone’s eating habit are different my eating habits certainly were not good all the time but for the most part I believe that I ate reasonably well. I hope that I do change my eating habit that way I can live a healthier life. It is never too late to change what has already become a habit it just takes time and persistence to get you going.

This process has not been easy and I have struggled to stay consistent with my healthy eating habits. Keeping my cravings under control has always been a challenge and my love of bread makes things a little harder. I also recognized that I am a stress eater. I had never paid attention to my eating patterns until I begin to keep a journal. This project has definitively helped me monitor and attain a better Healthier lifestyle.
I’ve often given into instant gratification. It’s prevented me from reaching many goals in my life. A goal of mine is to be really healthy, but a problem I’ve been having is with my eating habits. I have realized that throughout the day I eat a lot of food that is not the best for me. In the morning I usually eat something real quick out of the microwave, because I’m in a hurry heading to work or school. Another time is when I’m on a break from school or work. A lot of times I end up settling for fast good because it’s close by and I don’t have much spare time.
Currently I do not eat strategically. I do not make time for a small, nutritious breakfast each day. I have learned to better myself I must do this every day. Eating small meals like an apple every two hours or so throughout the day to keep...

By reviewing my Eating Habit Table, I concluded three factors that affects my food choices and eating habits. First of all, nutrition is the primary factor since I am more likely to prepare food by myself instead of eating outside of home because I know what is in the food and in what amount that I consumed. Secondly, time is also a major factor that guide my eating habit. For example, I would like to choose the food that is easy to prepare. During the weekdays, there is often not enough time to prepare meal, so I tend to consume fast food from café or eat less food. Last but not least, convenience drives me to consume what I already had or what is close to me. When my fridge is empty, I would go downstairs and order pizza from a
Throughout my life, I have basically been eating the same foods, with has caused a struggle with many things. I can recall one day that I went to a friends birthday party, expecting to have pizza, as most birthday parties do. Soon enough, I learned that the "birthday girl" wanted spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, which I happened not to like. In order to avoid
As a young child, my mother did not discourage us from eating the foods I liked. She always made sure I had a filling breakfast. She did not really mind if I wanted my favorite cereal for breakfast everyday. As long as I was satisfied, she was satisfied. This was not necessarily
One of the reason’s why I felt my nutrition needed to changes is because nutrition is a huge part of a healthy lifestyle, the way that we eat and what foods we consume can have a huge impact on our everyday lives. Nutrition plays a huge role in multiple facets of a person’s life energy, health, skin, weight, confidence, and more making having a good control on your eating habits extremely important. How we eat over the years and what foods we routinely choose to eat can eventually have a lasting effect on use and what we consider to be most appealing and appetizing at any given moment. Having these craving and routine habits makes eating, diet, and nutrition both a behavior and a lifestyle choice that can be changed over time with help from the theories learned in this class.
...e completely healthy attempting to avoid my punishment and then there were days where I ultimately caved and failed at eating well. On those days, I followed the rules I set in place and worked out as I said I would that evening. Part of the time my boyfriend would inevitably cause me to falter by cooking a nice fattening meal, but I don’t blame him at all considering it was up to me to make the decision to refrain from eating it. I probably didn’t do as well as I could have around lunch time or dinner but I’m glad at the fact that I did keep away from sweets and snacks throughout the entire week. I was really intrigued with getting good results for this project so I tried my hardest to actually follow the program set. Even if I don’t keep with this change after the project it’s very comforting to know I CAN eat healthy when I want and I CAN workout if I need too.
Living in a household where not everyone eats the same is hard. I know because I live in one. I no longer eat meat or processed foods but the rest of my family still does. Therefore, I see processed foods all in the kitchen cabinets and meat in the fridge and freezer. Is it hard to not give in and eat the junk when my family does the grocery and don 't buy me anything that I can eat? Yeah, it is but I can 't blame them. It 's not on their minds to buy more fruits and vegetables or no processed foods or no meat because they don 't eat that way. Therefore, I do my own food shopping and cook my own meals. I also follow people on social media who eat the way I eat and just keep in mind the reasons for why I eat the way I eat. Sometimes you have to create your own support system in order to stay strong. Over time, your body learns to reject it to the point where you get disgusted by the smell and sight of it, so don 't give up. Take each day one step at a time, plan your meals in advance, and socialize with people who eat the way you want to eat. Last, but not least, keep a positive attitude when it comes to changing eating habits because the change does not happen overnight. Instead, it 's a continuous process that may even change again over
While I was tracking my eating for these three days, I began to learn about the benefits of the food that I am eating and the nourishment that they provide for my body. I had never realized how big of a role that the food that I eat plays in my everyday life. Eating has never been something that I really think about it is just something that I do. After I looking at the data of what I eat on Choose My Plate, I realized that my eating habits are far from balanced and that I needed to work on bringing my eating habits to a better balance. While there are a lot of things that I have been doing right, there are also many things that I can work on.
My parents know that soda makes my stomach much bigger and they motivated me to change this habit. I used to drink a lot soda with chips, french fries, chicken and pizza. Something important that made me find out is, when we people like something, then, continuously start eating the same food for a very long time until we start disliking them. Since, I have drank soda for a long time, now I feel the same taste and the taste became old to me. My parents motivation and own realization made me accomplishing this habit. I believe, Human are creatures of habit. Overtime, We buy the same foods from the same grocery store, prepare the same recipes over and over. But, if we are serious about eating healthier and losing weight, then, it is possible to change those bad eating habits until it is too late. In order to maintain a healthy behavior, first one should start to prepare for it. However, in order to achieve these goals of health and fitness is really about involving in healthy behaviors on a daily routine basis. It does not matter how small the habit is, over time they can have a huge effect on an individual’s health. Therefore, we have to be serious about changing our lifestyle in order to achieve the goal.
Currently my eating habits have not changed much since the beginning of the semester. However, I can say that my choices of food to eat are healthier and I have been eating in smaller portions. Now I tend to look at the nutritional value when buying food. Since cutting back and making healthier choices, I can say I have not had a craving for sugar and have cut back on adding salt into my diet and use pepper instead.
Previously to taking this class, I had never given much thought to my eating habits. I always thought of the way I chose to eat as one of those things I didn’t need to concern myself with too heavily now because I’m a young broke college student. The way I eat is pretty similar to the way most of my friends eat and when you live away from home, that seems like the norm for people in college. However, after applying what I’ve learned in this class to my life, I’ve realized that the dietary choices I make now affect not only my current health, but my future health as well. So overall, I would say that my eating habits are pretty bad, but I’m working on making them better.
