My Decision to Join the Health Care Field

I made the decision to join the health care field based on my own desire, love of the people that live and thrive around me, and to be a role model for my daughter. I feel it is important to have a goal in life, and it is important to me to show my daughter the value of goals, and achieving them as well. I love meeting new people, and being able to lend a helping hand in any way I possibly can. What better way to help the general population then to have a profession in the health care industry. My daughter is seven going on eight this coming year, not only am I major influence in her life, but I wish to be a positive one at that. There are many lessons we can teach our children in this growing age, but one of major importance is the respect, and care we can have for those around us. Showing her that I have a desire for more, that I have the ambition to achieve, and on top of it all, I am living the influence I wish to provide. My desire and interest I have for this profession on top of the influence I wish to create for my daughter are definitely the driving force for me achieving my goal as a Phlebotomist My education is limited to a High School level, and it was over a decade ago that I graduated. However High School definitely had its lessons that still stick with me today. My English classes gave me the skills to be able to communicate through words, and how to make them count; History showed me the importance of learning from a past, and how to turn it into success in the future. That being said, making the decision to go back to school where I stand today is a learning experience beyond what I can remember from High School. My decision to return to school, to make that step, or leap rather is a learning path in... ... middle of paper ... ... possible not only through love but communication especially. I pride myself in many things about this situation, not only because I was there when it counted, but I was able to stand up and articulate the necessary communication that was needed between individuals. I know that even in the most difficult of environments I have the power to show great tenderness and care for those around me, and at the very least help those to see that there can be something positive with everything that can happen to us in this life. The health care profession can sometimes be one of sadness; however I know I can keep my positivity with me throughout the day. I know that I can communicate the things that should be done, and I know that no matter what difficult challenges, I or even my team will face I can help to communicate, and guide us to a happy and successful outcome.
