This year I will give myself more time to accomplish my goals. I need a new vehicle that will not break down on me. Over the years, I have always driven a used car that needed much more work than what I paid for it. This year I will save my money and build my credit up so that I can afford a new vehicle. Each year I find myself rushing to obtain a vehicle that will get me from point A to B. As a result, I end up fixing on the car more than I drive the car. I have made up my mind that I do not want to go through this anymore. Therefore, I am attending school now so that I will have a great paying career that will help me be able to afford a brand new car. I also plan to graduate from school with honors so that I can get a good position working in a hospital or a clinic.
To help make sure that happens, every day I will put forward my best effort to achieve my goals. I feel like I have been procrastinating by not using my full potential to get the things that I need and want. I have learned that it takes hard work and endurance to acquire the life that I want. There is nothing simple about going to school to learn a new trade. I have learned how to be patient throughout my journey because I have no other choice. I am the only one that knows exactly what I need and I am the only one that will do what it takes to get it.
I deserve to succeed in all areas of my life because I work hard daily to maintain the things that I have going on. I do not procrastinate by waiting to the last minute to complete my schoolwork, chores, and office work. I always give to the needy and homeless. Furthermore, I treat other people the way I would like to be treated. Therefore, I deserve to have great things to happen in my life. It is not easy to count on...

...ke it to the finish line. I know that I am a leader and I welcome change into my life. Change is the best outlet for me to see what I need to do next.
The contract exercise will also help me improve my approach to my goals. It shows me how I can commit to my own success and what I deserve to succeed. I am going to endure the days ahead so that I may strengthen my skill set and do the things that are in my contract. Goals are essential to my life. I am on the right track to having the things that I need the most, which are a new car and a great job. I will also write up another contract for myself once I have completed the goals in this one. That way I will not lose sight of what I am trying to accomplish to be a better me. As a result, I am building a strong foundation to accomplish the greatest things in my life by succeeding with my plans that are in my contract.
“It always seems impossible until it’s done”. This quote from Nelson Mandela comes to mind when describing why I aspire to become a Physician Assistant. It has always been a great motivation and inspired me not to get discouraged with failure; rather look forward for your goals. Frequently, it takes many trials and lack of success as well as achievements, for one to truthfully discover him/herself. I instinctively progressed through the motions of life. Many options were available and choosing a career as I grew up kept altering, until one day when I saw how helping other people is my sole purpose of life. Getting to know more of physician assistant drove me into the thoughts of pursuing it as a career.
I encourage you to always stay determined and focused on anything you do so you can not just succeed but you can over-achieve. Without exception you need to stay open-minded and be careful of your actions cause everything you do can affect your legacy. A quote from Swami Sivananda states “Put your heart, mind and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret to success.” This quote influences me because it's stating that just try your best in everything you do and you will succeed, not just your goals but in life as well.
If there is anything that I have learned over the past 18 years, it's that, with patience and determination, I can do almost anything that I set my mind to. I fought to accomplish my goal, and with patience and determination, I made it to where I am today, and where I want to be.
Without knowing what success is for you, you cannot know where to even start working towards your goal. As the famous Tony Robbins said, “Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.” This quote means that setting goals is the first step in turning what you cannot see, which might be money or power, into something that you can see. With your goals in mind, you have to spend every day working towards them. Many people set goals that are very far away and decide to give up once they begin to realize that. I have had similar experiences when I set goals that were extremely unrealistic and gave up after realizing. Regarding this matter, Confucius, a renowned philosopher once said: “When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.” This quote has given me much enlightenment, and since then, I have not changed my goals, no matter how unreachable. For example, one of the goals that I’ve set that was unreachable at first was making myself not nervous when I do public speaking. I listened to what Confucius said and now, I am much calmer when speaking in front of a crowd. There are a lot of consequences to not setting small goals. If you don’t set small goals, What comes next is the strategy of the 3 secrets to
We need to embrace change by having an individual take a leadership role. There can be more than one leader, but at least one person has to realize change is needed for the better and success of others. Another way to embrace change is by bringing the ...
I really was, and am, tired of the typical "leader" characterization: executives, dictators, presidents of this-that-and-the-other, bosses, etc. I wanted to see if this group thought outside of the box in that way. I also wanted to calm my tendencies to "take over" things. My goals were to learn to communicate more democratically, to concentrate on being an effective leader without alienating anyone, to seem more like a friend than a dictator, and also to relax my edginess when I am faced with lots of responsibility.
Explain why it is important to have an intention to create legal relations when making a contract and why is consideration of the parties to the agreement necessary-:
Patience and persistence come in handy. Not everything we work for comes out as planned, failure is something most of us try to avoid at all costs. Our responses to obstacles greatly depend on our mindset. Those with positive mindsets “ not only weren’t they discouraged by failure, they didn’t even think they were failing. They thought they were learning” (Dweck 5). The greater the goal the more difficult the path becomes.”People may start with different temperaments and different aptitudes but it is clear that experience, training, and personal effort take them the rest of the way” (Dweck 5). For example, a person with a growth mindset has a bigger possibility achieving things in life than a person with a fixed mindset because they are not deterred by
“One of the greatest feelings is accomplishing something that you once thought was impossible” -Unknown. Well, I would like to graduate, become a cosmetologist, and travel the world. Doing this would take a lot of work but I feel confident I can do it. Moving forward and trying new things is something I want to accomplish. I think that if you put your mind to something that you can do it. Believing in yourself can take you a long way.
As Beverly Sills once said, “You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t try.” Many people in modern day society are way too concerned with social status and reputation. As a result, these people are afraid to strive and reach for their goals because they do not want to be associated with failure and the negative connotations that it brings. However, those in society who do strive to be something great and are not afraid to fail are often the ones who enjoy life the most and reap its benefits. In order to accomplish lofty life goals and avoid total disappointment, one must give effort in everything he/she does so that there is never any doubt that he/she has lived life to the fullest.
Part of being a great leader is constantly improving. This requires an honest self-assessment of where you are at and what it will take to get better. I am the kind of person that performs best with a checklist and a plan, so I have developed a 3-5 year plan to use as a roadmap. In order to reach my destination I have a lot of work to do and a lot of feedback to receive. Let’s start with addressing what I want the destination to be, what the result of my 3-5 year plan will hopefully be.
I see myself developing into this type of leader by working to create valuable and positive change and empowering others to become leaders that also create valuable and positive change that they believe in. I will empower others to gain a sense of identity and self to the mission, be a role model that inspires others, challenge others to take ownership of their work, and provide understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of others. To be a transformational leader I will need to display the ability to communicate clearly, listen, collaborate, empower, build strong healthy relationships, and provide others with intellectual stimulation.
I am the kind of person who likes to be in an environment that doesn’t change to often. I’m not a fan of jumping into something new. Adapting to change is one of the hardest things for me and it is the one thing that I need to work on the most. Change happens all around us every day and I need to learn how to deal with it. Change can be good. Change can be bad. It’s just what I’m going to have to work on to become a better leader.
