Code of Ethics Personal or not, a code of ethics that is in accordance to the criterion of the Almighty God is among the most valuable asset for any individual or organization. In the case study chosen for this essay, the ethical issue involved is concerning business ethics in the area of integrity and uprightness. A firm is planning to expand their business in a country where transactions that seems to be bribery is a normal part of doing business. There are contractors establishing themselves as an agent for acquiring, or advancing the required licensing to operate in the state/country calling it payoffs. This practice is not clear whether it’s free from bribery although many firms have managed sign off legal documents saying it is so. By this firm expanding to that country they may get involved in bribery without the legal consequences, violating the code of ethic the firm follows. By not expanding to that country, they are not maximizing the wealth of the shareholder having adequate information which shows profit maximization. This paper is going to analyze my personal code of ethics assessing core values, moral characters, principles and the value of ethics, also clarifying where it is adapted from. Additionally clarifying my stance on what is the right thing to do regarding the ethical issue presented in the case study, and the justification of the recommended action which may elucidate why a code of ethics that is in accordance with the criterion of the Almighty god is among the most valuable asset. To begin with, my first and foremost core value is my faith, belief in one God, the Creator of all that exist, and there is no deity worthy of worship but the Almighty one God, the One and only God, the Eternal, Absol... ... middle of paper ... ...f conducts. These guidelines are from, the Creator of all that exist, the Knower of all matters seen or unseen, constructed for the guidance of humanity toward the ultimate success. Very important points to understand from all these analyses are philosophical views and guidelines constructed by human beings is very limited because they are based on the knowledge, experience and understating of the human beings i.e. creations. As shown in this and previous analysis of the case studies, in some cases it fits well and in others it doesn’t. By following guidelines that came from the One who encompasses all, the Creator of all that exists, the Knower of the seen and unseen, the Almighty one God, with the authentic understanding just how it was taught by the messengers (peace be upon them), one can rest assure their conduct is well acceptable, which promotes goodness.
