My Challenges as a Systems Engineer at Salesforce.com

Cloud Computing has radically changed the way businesses and consumers leverage technology both professionally and personally. Unlike traditional solutions, cloud-based solutions have not only accelerated the process of IT deployment and process execution but also reduced the burden of ownership to companies. My experience at Infosys Ltd. has acquainted me with this facet of Cloud Computing and given me a chance to work with one of the most innovative company in this field, Salesforce.com.
My challenges as a Systems Engineer, working on the Salesforce.com Level 3 Release Management Team for Motorola Solutions (client), included development, enhancement and deployment of functionalities on the Force.com platform. Creating Apex classes, triggers and visual force pages as well as devising workflow rules, approval processes for user applications on a quotidian basis, helped me hone my programming skills and deepened my knowledge in APEX, VisualForce, jQuery, JavaScript & HTML 5. The added responsibility of assembling and analyzing data using reports, dashboards and graphical tools like Apex Data Loader cemented my data mining and warehousing concepts. Meeting these challenges attributed to the realization that, in addition to offering unlimited possibilities for scalability and virtualization, Cloud-based platform’s potential lies in emerging as a dominant vehicle in application and real-time web development. The ease with which one can develop and manage ERP, HRM and SCM applications on the Cloud enthralled me and cemented my belief that the Cloud Platform is going to be the future of application development.

...ademic oriented workshops like 3D-Adobe Maya and UNIX Programming under CSI, I have been instrumental in winning many inter college cricket tournaments as the captain of my team. These activities have helped me not only in improving my interpersonal and team management skills but also in developing long lasting relationships with peers and professors, alike. I look forward to being an integral part of the technical communities like The Dining Philosophers and Chair's Advisory Board, where I will constructively use the technical as well as the organizing skills that I have acquired in the past years to contribute to similar events.
