Career ambition is also one of the biggest motivations for me to apply for the master programme. Upon graduation, I plan to work as a business analyst in the high-tech companies such as Baidu and Tencent, to specifically gain experience in user behaviour analysis. As I am a person seeking changes and enjoy evaluating and analysing data, creating solutions and communicating with many people, I hope to apply my skill to manage change in line with company goals and even to improve social welfare. My long-term goal is to be a data scientist—to dig deeper on data mining and modelling, which is a more challenging and creative process. Equipped with the undergraduate knowledge about economics, I intend to learn business analytics in a systematic way …show more content…
I have been studying for a BSc Hons in International Economics & Trade at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), which has provided me with a thorough foundation in, and understanding of, economic theory and quantitative methods—including mathematical and statistical methodology. I learnt not only the analysis of individual economic agent but also the aggregate implications of economic behaviour in microeconomics and macroeconomics modules. I was particularly interested in Economics of Pricing and Decision Making that introduced the game theory—a set of analytic tools designed to analyse strategic situations to predict the behaviour of decision makers and to formulate firm tactics. Besides the application of basic economic theories to real-world situations, I developed quantitative analytical skills using the mathematical approaches in Mathematical Economics covering the core topics of calculus, linear algebra, and static optimisation as well. The current study of Advanced Calculus for Business, Economics and Finance deeply enhances my understanding of calculus and its applications. Moreover, as the important part of the course, econometrics modules offered me a firm basis in the fundamental principles such as probability theory, statistical inference, distribution and the linear regression model. In my spare time, I also equipped myself with solid programming skills such as SQL and SPSS. As the top student in my major, I participated in an exchange programme in the UK and achieved strong academic results. I was awarded the Head’s Scholarship in 2014 (Top 20%) and the Dean Scholarship in 2015 (Top 10%). All of these would ensure my future academic success at

So with looking further into all of the different criminal justice paths I could go down and with my love for science I thought being a forensic scientist would be the perfect job. After I’m done with college, my successful will continue. Regardless my main goal is to just be happy, and never have to struggle for anything. But, when I think about my future the first thing I always think about is the car I want. Which is so odd because I should be thinking about a place to live, and a family maybe first, then a car. But no, I want my all white Cadillac CTS. Depending on what year I get enough money to purchase this perfect car, I’m going to want to the newest year. Just so I can have all the newest interior and the technology. I want to one day, have a family and a decent sized house in a big city. I haven’t really decided yet if I either want to go into the FBI or just work for the local police station wherever I decide to live.
Through the past three years I’ve spent at high school, I have developed and have grown intellectually.
My career goal is to specialize in cardiology or neurology after majoring in biology for my undergraduate years and work with an organization that specializes in either one of those two fields. My life aspirations are to continue to gain more knowledge and excel in a career where I can be financially stable. I love learning; I love it when I learn something in one class and I am able to connect it to the concepts in another class or apply it to life in general. To me, learning is a lifelong process. However, I cannot describe how many times wonderful opportunities were available for me, but I could not take advantage of them because of my family 's financial circumstance.
The Ultimate Career Goal: I am extremely passionate about marine and wildlife ecosystems and all their inhabitants and have a desire to work in a career that allows me to work closely within these ecosystems as well as allowing myself to educate those that surround me about the importance of science. My ultimate career goal is to work as a laboratory and field technician for a reputable company or organisation.
As an international undergraduate student earning a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Suffolk University, I had every intention of becoming a Scientist. However, while I completed an internship, a few part time positions and full time administrative/support positions in the field, I realized that I no longer desired to pursue this as a career. Although I valued doing hands-on research, and assisting people in bettering themselves, I found that the field did not call for the formation of more skills, relationships or engaging in mutual mentorship with other scientist to the level that I desired and had experienced through interactions with fellow researchers as a young professional. As a result of this realization, I decided to apply for a lab inventory specialist position in a pharmaceutical company after graduation.
There will be a certain point in your life, when you will have to make a major life decision, from buying a car, to buying a house, to what career you want to have. These are all very hard decision to make and at times it can be stressful just thinking about them. Unfortunately, they are all part of life.

7. I am applying for a bachelor degree related to finance or business at UBC, because I have always been fascinated by economics and particular how it functions within our society. I guess perhaps it has something to do with my parents, since they both worked in finance. With their encouragement and guidance, I find myself enjoy accounting, marketing and math more than any other courses. One of my favorite subjects is Economics for Business and I got 70% in overall. I am also attracted by the charm of programming and able to solve some mathematical problems according to programming. During the study of financial modelling, I tried to find an easier way to calculate some investment models and pictured some K line graph by programming. I also got high marks in coursework of financial modeling (82) and corporate finance (90). To be excellent in investing in the stock market, real estates and other fields, I aspire to carry on my graduate study in the field of accounting and finance to make rational investment decisions. The Quantitative management and portfolio analysis enhance my comprehension of accounting principles and the investment strategies. This will contribute towards my further study of accounting and finance. I successfully completed Year 1 of my BA (Hons) Economics course with an aggregate mark of 62%. This year, I am expecting that I can achieve a 2.1 class
