“Describing the movie poster The Blood of the Vampire” Movie posters are a way to grab people’s attention and a way to make profit. Some posters are funny, some romantic, mysterious, terrifying, or informing. No two movie posters are the same. Grabbing someone’s attention with a poster can be tricky. The colors, scenery, words, actors, together will see what makes a person want to attend a movie. “The Blood of the Vampire”is the poster that I chose to describe. The first element that catches the eye is the red-orange wording stating “The Blood of the Vampire.” The word blood appears to be dripping blood downward. The title is dominant is the perspective that is catches the eye of the viewer because of the red orange hue used. Another reason is it appears to be dripping drops of blood. The effectiveness of the title “The Blood of the Vampire” is quite effective because it brings the sense of terror and chills. The colors bring suspense and fear as well. The poster uses some words on this particular poster. The writing is legible and the fronts chosen are legible and clear. The most dominant aspect is the picture with the exception of the title. The woman on the table brings fear. The man with the red eyes draw a viewer’s attention. The sponsors of this particular movie poster wanted the audience to feel fear and suspense, especially women because of the young woman on the movie poster strapped to a table. The intent of this sign is quite clear. The message is in the pictures more so then the words. The pictures draw the eye around the poster.
