Comparing and contrasting the skills and techniques of a manager in MNC vs. a manager in an organization that does not have a global presence. The techniques and skills needed such as knowledge, interpersonal and personal competencies are key in management’s ability to be successful. A global manager must plan for the future, develop strategic objectives and secure future goals. These functions go hand-in-hand with the knowledge competencies such as international knowledge, global risk management and technology savvy. A manager’s knowledge competencies lends well with forecasting and planning management approach in order to evaluate potential dilemmas that could impact the company and the operational landscape. It is also the responsibility of the manager to control the organization activities according to the organization 's policies and objectives.
