Shakespeare was also an actor. Shakespeare only wrote three genres during his career. They were comedy, history, and tragedy. A Midsummer Night's Dream was one of his most famous plays that he wrote, and was published in 1600. William Shakespeare's, A Midsummer Night's Dream, is a five-act comedy play. Each plot is connected by a wedding between an Amazon queen and the Duke of Athens. The play is set in the woods. The story starts with a conflict between a father and a daughter. The father wants the daughter to marry a suitor that he has picked, but the daughter loves another man, and refuses his request. In the last plot, the king of the fairies and his wife are estranged, with the king having to punish his wife since she did not obey him. ...to write A Midsummer Night's Dream. He pokes fun at the Elizabethan time, emphasizing on how woman had little if anything to say about who their husband would be. Back in that era, a woman's husband would be chosen by one of her male relatives and of course they would choose a prestigious man for her husband without regard to how she feels about him. Another theory was that Shakespeare wrote this play for a nobleman's wedding. It was not unusual for weddings of the affluent to have grand festivities such as a play at the reception.

William Shakespeare has a habit of creating complicated plots, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream is no exception. Three distinct worlds are presented within the play, and the story’s theme is most prevalent when they collide or mirror one another. Shakespeare’s allusions very intentionally cast light on these themes as he uses them to develop characters, settings, and comedy. The point of that development is the effective delivery of the theme that love renders us equals.

Shakespeare’s literature exemplifies creativeness and powerful word use to create bodies of work with strong attributes that grab the reader’s attention. Midsummer’s night dream is an example of some of Shakespeare’s best work. The thesis of this essay is Hermia’s father, Esues wants his daughter to marry someone that he approves of and more importantly he wants someone for her that is respected by the rest of society to admire. This play has love, drama and characters that follow their hearts. Hermia is told she is not allowed to love or marry Lysander by her father. Her father Esues wants her to marry Demetrius. The setting of the play is taken in Athens. Athens is a place of order and royalty and a place where people are supposed to marry
William Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream utilizes the technique of multiple characters playing leading roles. The fairy character Puck stands out as a dominant and leading role in the play. Puck is the best fit for the role of the protagonist because he is mischievous and therefore, has the ability to change the outcome of the play through his schemes and actions. As the protagonist, Puck is responsible for creating the major conflict that occurs between the four lovers throughout the play. This is important because the play focuses on the lives and relationships of the lovers. In addition, because of Puck’s interaction with these characters, his actions throughout the play, alters the final outcome. Finally, Puck’s relationship with all the mortals in the play, his connection to his fellow fairies, and the bond he has with his boss, King Oberon make him the best choice for a protagonist.
Imagine being a woman in sixteenth century Europe. Females were raised to believe that they were subservient and that men knew better on any subject. Basically, women had no rights. They were considered property, first “owned” by their fathers and then control was “transferred” to the husband chosen for them. Marriage was not about love, but in most cases, it was a business deal that was mutually beneficial to both families – an interesting fact is that like young women, most young men had no choice in the selection of their future betrothed. These traditions and the gender roles assumed by men and women at that time had an impact on Shakespeare’s writing and performances and a great example of this is evident in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The Overture: A Midsummer Night’s Dream was composed by Felix Mendelssohn in 1826 at 17 years of age. The piece was produced after Mendelssohn was inspired by the William Shakespeare play ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. Mendelssohn’s compositions consisted of romantic elements, but classical forms and techniques were also included, leading to the uniqueness of Mendelssohn’s compositions compared to the previous composers before him. Mendelssohn composition consisted of a full orchestra with the addition of the Ophicleide which is not a commonly used instrument.
Where Shakespeare's tragedies will tell the story, chiefly, of a single principal character, this is rarely the case with his comedies. The comedies are more social and deal with groups of characters. In the case of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the principal groups are, at first, introduced severally. Though, one group may interact with another (as when Puck anoints Lysander's eyes, or Titania is in love with Bottom) they retain separate identities.
William Shakespeare, one of the most famous play writers, wrote at least 27 different plays in his lifetime. One of the genres he specialized in was comedy, which in Elizabethan time, meant a play that ended happily for all characters. It is believed that one of his most popular comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, was written and performed for a wedding party to which Queen Elizabeth herself attended. This only seems appropriate with the entertaining themes of love, magic, and dreams. By examining the title, dreams can be seen as the most important theme as it incorporates both love and magic. In William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, dreams are a reflection of reality.
Throughout Act III Scene II, many conflicts arise. However, the main conflict within the scene is the confusion the lovers face when their perceptions are altered. This confusion enhances the central theme of true love versus false love. There are many aspects of the play that deal with this central theme, but it is most prevalent within this scene. The chaos reaches a climax causing great disruption among the lovers. However, the turmoil is eventually resolved by the character who is originally responsible for the confusion, Puck.
When comparing A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Macbeth; there are a few similarities that can be discussed such as: love’s difficulties, magic and the significance of events that occur during day and night. On the other hand, there is one difference that can also be discussed like one was written as a comedy and the other was written as a tragedy. Comedy does typically begin chaotic and ends in order, while tragedies are written beginning with order and ends in chaos. This is evident in Macbeth when the main character Macbeth starts off in the play as a loyal individual but towards the end, begins to become an unstable murderer.
Some of the characters are fairies, kings, queens, and even lower class people. It is
