Michelangelo Di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni was born on the 6th of March 1475.
He was a renaissance character, who influenced artists back in the middle age and in the modern day. He was a sculptor, painter, architect and poet of the High Renaissance who exerted an unparalleled influence on the development of Western art. Michelangelo was considered to be the greatest living artist during his lifetime.
