Michael Jordan is known as one of the greatest basketball players to ever step foot on a NBA court. Ever since his rookie season in 1984 to his last season in 2003 Michael Jordan has been the best basketball player to ever live. Famous NBA power forward Dirk Nowitzki quoted “To me, Jordan is the god of basketball, and i think he was always be.” Michael Jordan was never just in love with basketball he was also in love with baseball in his early years. Came his sophomore year in high school Jordan tried out for his high school basketball team but things did not go his way and he did not make his high school team. In 1983 and 1984 Jordan was singled out as the NCAA college player of the year. In the summer of 1984 Jordan made his first appearance at the Olympic Games as a member of the U.S. Olympic basketball team. Jordan left North Carolina University his junior year to join the NBA. In 1984 Michael Jordan was drafted 3rd pick in the 1st round by the Chicago Bulls. Jordan was a huge help to the Bulls organization by leading them to the playoffs for the first time in years. Jordan was selected as the NBA rookie of the year and was selected for the NBA all-star game. In Michael Jordan’s many years in the NBA he has been awarded many awards by the NBA.
