he has been compared to the greatest of all time (the G.O.A.T) Michael Jordan, who is known as the best to ever play the game of basketball. And Lebron being compared to Jordan, is something extraordinary because nobody has ever been that close and even been considered to be better than “the G.O.A.T” besides Kobe Bean Bryant. And obviously Lebron’s fans they say Lebron is the G.O.A.T. Jordan fans they say Jordan is the G.O.A.T.
So there is this fight between the fans, but their opinion doesn't really matter because they are just giving their opinion, but the majority of the fans think Michael Jordan is the G.O.A.T.
Lebron James is the only player that has ever been close to Michael Jordan in terms of statistics for instance; if we look at

But what makes people say that Michael
Jordan is better than Lebron James is the number of championships that they have. Jordan has won six straight championships and he did it during his fifteen year of NBA career.
So far Lebron James has won three so far and he is in his fifteenth year of NBA career, And in my opinion this is what people forget, Lebron might not win six championship in a row just like
Jordan did, but he can still win as many championships has Jordan did or even win more, because he is a great player and still did not retire yet. But all in all Lebron James has always looked up to Michael Jordan ever since he started playing basketball. He once was questioned about how Michael Jordan had an impact on his love for basketball and he said, " First of all, I wear the number because of Mike, James said, referring of course to his
No. 23 jersey. I think I fell in love with the game because of Mike, just seeing what he was able to accomplish. When you're growing up and you're seeing Michael Jordan, it's almost like a god. So I didn't ever believe I could be Mike. I started to focus on myself on other players and other people around my neighborhood because I never thought that

So these are the true things that make these NBA athletes being portrayed as great role models for these young men, because they truly inspire and motivate them to accomplish their goals in life. But with a lot of success, there will always be doubters, people that try to drag you down because you are to successful and they are not, people that are jealous of your accomplishments. So in my opinion, the mass and social media does a tremendous job of updating the fans with what is going on in these athletes lives, because as fans we are always curious of what is happening with them, one of the reasons might be because we just want to live like them and the other reason is that we are just curious about what they are doing. And also usually these NBA athletes are portrayed as people that do not care about anything else unless it is about basketball, which is not true
Golliver, Ben. “Spoelstra: Comparing LeBron James to Jordan is Impossible Because ‘Game is Different Now.’” Sports Illustrated. Time Inc. 6 Jun. 2013. Web. 8 Oct 2013.
In conclusion this is how these two allstars are beyond incredible and this is how they show their talents in different ways. This also shows how American culture has changed a lot. We see how Michael Jordan talent differs from Lebron James talent but they are compared too as both “The best to ever play the game of basketball”.
Then baseball came along in his life, and he signed a contract with the Chicago White Sox. Michael had the great base running ability and defense, but couldn’t hit a lick of the ball. Then on April 2, 1995, he decided he couldn’t stay away from basketball. He came back in the middle of the season and the bulls were unable to achieve what they have done in recent years. During the off-season, Michael was approached by Warner Bros. for a movie with their characters the looney tunes. It would later become known as the movie Space Jam released in November 1996. This year the Bulls came back better than ever, setting an astounding 72-10 record. The day the Bulls clinched their 4th championship with Michael it was Father’s Day. This is the first time the Bulls would celebrate without James Jordan is there. Michael would have another astounding accomplishment by setting the first-ever triple double in the NBA all-star game. The Bulls had once again ended up making it to the Finals. The Bulls would split the first four games with the Utah Jazz. Then comes the fifth game of the Finals, which Michael is most famous for the flu game. There are many stories for why Michael looked sluggish on the court, but it was stated as flu like symptoms or the actual flu. Although Jordan was for sure weakened on the court, he rose to the occasion. The Bulls would go on

Michael Jordan, what comes to your mind when you hear that name? Michael had played for the bulls and had gotten 6 championship rings with the team. Well, is it just me or does that sound like a lot of time in the game of basketball? In 1982 he took a big step up from highschool to college, where he wanted to pursue the basketball dream. He went to college at North Carolina where he played NCAA basketball for just one year before he was drafted in 1984. All eyes were on him when he went on the court, because that just how good he was at the game of basketball. Michael Jordan is one of the greatest players in NBA history, maybe even the greatest of all time.
How do you measure the greatness of the two biggest NBA superstars of all time? Michael Jordan is significantly known for being the ultimate basketball player in NBA history. However, LeBron James is considered one of the top basketball players in the NBA now. There inspiring leadership and unbelievable talent on the court makes it hard for us to choose a winner. James is continuously breaking NBA history, but Jordan's mighty legacy is considered unbreakable. Why can't both exceptional players be valued and appreciated, rather than compared?
Few professional basketball athletes’ names are recognizable to the avid, diehard basketball fans and the uninterested layman alike. One of the first, if not the first, athlete to pop up in anyone’s head is the legendary Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan, also known as His Airness, MJ, and Air Jordan, is widely considered the greatest basketball players of all time. Throughout his professional career, Jordan kept changing the game and redefined the entire sport of basketball. However, in 2002, an aspiring athlete by the name of LeBron Raymone James, also known as King James or simply LeBron, immediately rose to prominence and caught the attention of the entire NBA community. The young star quickly proved his tremendous skill, receiving the hype of being the next Michael Jordan. Looking closer, I found that the similarities between the two players are striking.
When I began my report I didn’t know much about Michael Jordan, but I did know that he was “undoubtedly the greatest player in the history of the NBA'; (“Michael Air Jordan'; 1). It seemed like every time I heard the word basketball I also heard the name Michael Jordan. There’s just no avoiding him. If you are watching television you might see him playing basketball or golf. If you were reading a magazine there will probably be an advertisement with his picture. If you were walking down the street you might see a kid wearing Air Jordan shoes or a Bulls jersey with “JORDAN'; on the back of it. This man is probably as recognizable as the Pope.
Specific Purpose: To persuade the audience that Michael Jordan even now in the present is still the greatest player ever to play in the NBA.
Michael Jordan can say he has had an amazing career and accomplished many things in his life. From his childhood to adulthood, he has done remarkable things. Most people hope to have a life and career like
It was not until the year 2002 that the NBA was able to find someone to match Jordan’s dazzling acrobatic style of play. His name is Lebron James. Lebron, who plays shooting guard and small forward, stands at an athletic six-eight. James, however, never played in the NCAA. He was drafted straight out of high school in the 2003-04 season, by the Cleveland Cavaliers. James is already on the road to success by achieving co-rookie of the year, and he appeared in the Olympics. James is expected to be a champion, but he may not have what it takes to become a real champion such as Michael Jordan was. Before Jordan or James can be categorized as a champion, they have to be able to handle pressure, fame, and maintain a positive relationship with their team. When comparing Jordan and James’ clutch capabilities, or their ab...
Michael Jordan, portrayed by Jim Naughton in the biography Taking To The Air: The Rise of Michael Jordan, is well regarded as not only the greatest basketball player of all time but also the face of a generation. During the mid to late 1980s NBA basketball was simply treading water. As a result of the lack of a marketable superstar, the NBA was losing popularity to the National Football League and Major League Baseball. Following Jordan’s emergence, the NBA’s attendance rose dramatically and it’s worldwide popularity skyrocketed. Michael Jordan returned basketball to its past popularity in the United States and revolutionized the way the world viewed the game of basketball. (Harriman) Michael Jordan’s life is succinctly depicted in Taking to The Air: The Rise of Michael Jordan. Jim Naughton focuses on Jordan’s influence on worldwide sports and culture as one of the most publicized and marketed athletes of all time. Naughton explains the circumstances in Jordan’s upbringing that gave him the ability to be a humungous star. This biography is examined by Kirkus Reviews. They describe Naughton’s biography: “Besides offering a solid chronological biography and record of Michael Jordan’s basketball career, here Naughton also gives an astute assessment of this superstar’s impact on society.” (“Taking to the Air”) The article in the Kirkus Review explains that this biography investigates Jordan’s impact on marketing while telling the story of his life. Like Kirkus Reviews, I too believe that Naughton’s work goes into great description about Jordan’s upbringing and later career while also examining his cultural impact. Throughout his life, Michael Jordan has topped the sports and entertainment worlds by becoming the greatest basketball pl...
