As Michael Jackson once said, “If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself, then make that change.” That’s what he did. Michael Jackson was an American singer, songwriter, and dancer from Gary, Indiana. Before Jackson’s musical contribution, the music industry was descending tremendously. But with his musical abilities and special talent, Michael Jackson has impacted the world.

Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29th, 1958. Jackson started music when he was very young with four of his family members as a member of the Jackson 5, and he began his solo career in 1971. Jackson is one of the very few artists to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, and once in the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Dance Hall of Fame. In one of his first performances, “Motown 25”, and with his album, “Thriller”, the music industry had flourished once again. People bought an estimated 65 million copies worldwide, just from “Thriller”, and in total, 100 million copies were sold within all of his albums (The song “Thriller” was especially bought and listened to around the holiday of Halloween). Dubbed the “King of Pop”, Jackson was one of the most popular entertainers in the world at his time of death. His form of music thrilled his audience with the brilliant art form like no other musician that came before him. He could even electrify any live audience. It was different, refreshing even, and the world loved it, loved it so much that multiple individuals still listen to him to this day.
