Aristotle defined the traits of a tragic hero. When someone meets the criteria of a tragic hero they qualify to be in the Tragic Hero Hall of Shame. Michael Jackson meets the traits outlined by Aristotle and belongs in the tragic hero Hall of Shame. Michael Jackson shows many of the characteristics that qualify him to be a tragic hero. Michael Jackson demonstrates noble birth. He was one of the most talented entertainers in the 20th Century;he started his outstanding music career with the Jackson five.This group had mind blowing musical talent which gave them the status of pop royalty, which started off his music career. Michael Jackson is a music icon but had a fatal flaw which led to his downfall. Michael jackson shows the characteristic of Hamartia. Michael jackson had trust issues, he grew up with a strong relationship with his mother but an abusive father. He had problems realizing who the good people were in his life; he trusted the wrong people and it came back to hurt him. Michael did not accept himself, he kept trying to be things that he wasn't. Michael only had showed up to two rehearsals at the venue where the concert was being put together, he was supposed to attend more than forty; the heavy workload and the emotional strain grew a lot of Michael's weak soul.
