I would describe my four letters as being someone who thinks before they act and very observant. I think one of the main things I learned about ENFP, is if something interest me, I am likely to care more about it and work hard. The Myers and Briggs Analysis is a series of questions that when answered are examined and grouped together in order to determine the personalities of those taking this test. This particular test can result in sixteen different outcomes or types of personalities, which is determined by four different categories that judge if you are introverted or extroverted, use your senses or your intuition, your choice to think or use your feelings, and finally if you are judgmental or perceptive. These series of questions are designed to judge our personalities and help us to determine which career pathways we will be most suited for based on our personality traits and abilities to work well with others, which is important for our future decisions.
Having completed the Myers-Briggs Personality Test previously, I was identified as an INTP, which stands for introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving. Accordingly, this personality is often labeled as “The Architect” or “The Logician.” Despite my previous results, I repeated the test as instructed in the assignment. The Big Five Personality Test provided an interesting account of my personality. Although the majority of the results were accurate, I was surprised by two of the outcomes. According to this test, I am a closed-minded, unmethodical, social butterfly that is well-mannered towards others and composed under pressure (John, 2009). First, the results were completely accurate as I am extremely extroverted. I never meet a stranger, and I carry on conversations with anyone. A single test that students have to wake up for at six, seven in the morning on a Saturday and travel to some random location to take a difficult test should not impact the student's chance of getting into college, let alone predict how well they will
ENFP also known as the campaigner is my personality type (16 personalities). I never realized what my personality type was until after finally doing this paper. It was a very eye opening assignment and made me realize and understand my personality type so much more. It’s exciting to know how I work. It amazes me at how I represent the ENFP exactly how it’s described, it’s crazy. I feel like I can better myself now, knowing that that’s just normal or my personality type. Before I would question myself on why I could never focus on just one task at a time, I would always want to explore more before I was finished. Now that I know that’s normal, I can work on improving myself. The campaigner represents a true free spirit.
My personality type is Extroverted, intuitive, feeling, perceptive or ENFP. According to the description in the exercise, ENFP's are warm, enthusiastic and live their outer life more with intuition and their inner more with feeling. The bases of this paper will be based on the results that I had obtained when I took the Myers-Briggs personality test. The results that I had obtained was that I was determined to be an ENFJ. I will go into depth about letter and how each represents that a specific aspect of my personality. The results that I had received were not what I had expected, but the more I read about the trait the more I realized how it suited me. I will also talk about the information that I had found useful from the book, Type Talk at Work: How the 16 Personalities Types Determine Your Success on the Job by Otto Kroeger, which gave me insight on how to interact with other personality types especially in the work environment. The information that I absorbed from the personality test and from the book will go into use in my personal and work life so that both environments will be cohesive and peaceful.
I found the results of my self-assessments to be a very insightful and accurate description of myself. The results of the learning styles test and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II are very valuable for examining my personality traits and learning style and making improvements as needed.
Throughout the beginning of this semester I have looked at how individuals behave within business organizations. Through various exercises and results, I have found a number of patterns within my behavior and interests. I have become aware what interests me, and a number of skills/abilities I was oblivious I had. This reflection and in class exercises has allowed me to expand my skills, abilities, and behaviors, well fitting them into prospective future employment.
I took five personality assessments to see what personalities seem to define who I am. I agree with some of the results, but some I don’t agree with at all. These assessments tend to mostly be accurate, however, some aren't who I am.
The Big Five personality factors are the modern way of describing someone’s feelings, actions, and traits. This new factor map, improving Hans and Sybil Eysenck’s two-dimensional map which consisted of a stable/unstable axis and an introverted/extroverted axis, has five different factors. They are Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism and everyone can be described using these five criteria. This paper will discuss and interpret my results from a Big Five personality test including how accurate I believe it is and how this might change in the future.
The test has shown that my personality can be defined as ENFJ type. People who belong to this group are good leaders, organizers and idealists. They are good at communicating with other people, finding common language with others, initiating different projects and organizing the working processes. People of ENFJ personality type possess such traits as responsibility, creativity, openness to the world, self-development and sympathy. Such people are always ready to help others and use their experience for the sake of general well-being and success. It is also said that an ENFJ-type person can easily establish relationships with other individuals and believe in the potential of others.
