In response to your request, I investigated the (insert area location)McDonalds, located off of Wisconsin Avenue. After analyzing the behavior of the employees, I noticed some policy issues that should be addressed. Included in this report are a few steps that could be taken to improve the location and increase overall customer satisfaction.
EXTERIOR OBSERVATIONS
I arrived at the Wisconsin Avenue McDonalds at approximately 1:00 PM. I wanted to observe the location during peak business hours. Upon surveying the exterior of the restaurant, I noticed a substantial amount of garbage drifting in the parking lot. The majority of this garbage consisted of McDonald's paper products, such as wrappers, containers, napkins, and soda cups. In contrast to the poor appearance of the area surrounding the building, the windows and doors looked exception...
In order to understand McDonald's structure and culture and why they continue to be the world's largest restaurant chain we conducted a SWOT analysis that allowed us to consider every dimension involved in the business level and corporate level strategies.
The purpose of this research is to provide a substantial assessment/explanation/analysis of the degree to which the McDonald’s operates based on a universal cultural or whether it is most strongly influenced by the national culture of that country. The researcher will explain how McDonald’s uses diversity and organizational initiatives to contribute to the corporate bottom line. Finally, the researcher will evaluate the company’s bottom-line rationale for diversity initiatives.
McDonald's Corporation is the largest fast-food operator in the World and was originally formed in 1955 after Ray Kroc pitched the idea of opening up several restaurants based on the original owned by Dick and Mac McDonald. McDonald's went public in 1965 and introduced its flagship product, the Big Mac, in 1968. Today, McDonald's operates more than 30,000 restaurants in over 100 countries and have one of the world's most widely known brand names. McDonald's sales hit $57 billion company-wide and over $25 billion in the United States in 2006 (S&P).
McDonalds was established about sixty years ago and has dramatically changed. The fast food industries’ lack of concern when dealing with the quality of food, and ethically wrong business practices cannot go ignored. With demand for fast food constantly increasing, solutions should be made accordingly to meet these demands without practicing business ethics that are morally wrong. The time has come for McDonalds to realize the consequences of selling unhealthy food and using morally wrong business practices. Spending more time concentrating on the consumer’s health and well-being, rather than concentrating only on profit margins is the kind of change the fast food industry needs.
Have you ever wondered how the business empire of McDonalds was started? With over ninety nine billion served, it was started in 1940 in San Bernardino, California. It was started off as just a Bar-B-Q that served just twenty items. Its first mascot was named “Speedee” They eventually realized that by setting up their kitchen like an assembly line that they could be much more productive and get their food done faster, with every employee doing a specified job; the restaurants production rate became much higher. A milkshake machine vendor came into their small restaurant one day, his name was Ray Kroc. He saw how much potential the restaurant has, so he bought it out and opened one of the first franchises. Within the first year of Ray Kroc buying it, there were one hundred and two locations all around the world. McDonalds currently is one of the largest fast food restaurants in the world and currently has served over sixty four million customers through one of their thirty two thousand sites. It has almost become a way of life for America. Though, McDonalds started off as a small business between two brothers, it grew into one of the largest restaurant franchises in the world and greatly affects our society and how we eat our food.
At the start of 2015 McDonald’s stated they wanted to increase their net profit between 5% - 7% over 2016 calendar year. The Gross Profit ratio from 2014 - 15 did not fluctuate from 66%, following this was the small increase in net profit by 1%. McDonald 's had fallen far from their overall goal of a 5% -7% increase. Yum Brands is now achieving higher net margin at its company stores than McDonald’s with their revenue skyrocketing in from 41,546,000,000 in 2014 and 42,692,000,000 in 2015 well ahead of McDonald’s.

By enforcing suitable strategies, McDonalds can increase its level of sales and will also help in upgrading as well as sustaining the market by acquiring competitive advantage (Schoenberg, Collier and Bowman, 2013).
