Magazines, TV’s may give them a kind of knowledge and exposure which helps them in positive way. Or else they may be limited to the interactions with people from their own cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Family members may perpetuate stereotypes of different cultural groups, whereas media outlets and other forms of media can offer a diverse display of cultural or ethnic groups like Latin’s or Africans which helps them to think critically and question cultural stereotypes. By giving this kind of exposure to teens, they tend to participate in charitable acts or consider other ways to engage in benevolent deeds.
