Mrs. Tracy Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister and social activist. He played a key role in the American civil rights movement, and the ending of segregation. King fought for equality for African Americans, the economically disadvantaged, and people who suffered from injustice through peaceful protest. His peaceful, eventually, brought legislation to thing like, Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. He he definitely stood up for Civil Rights. And he has made one of the biggest changes in American history.
Martin Luther King Jr, in my opinion, definitely stood up and made a change in our society. In the year of 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. worked with a quantity of civil rights and religious groups to assemble the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, This was a peaceful political rally designed to shed light on the injustices African …show more content…

This event was held on August 28. About two hundred thousand to three hundred thousand participants attended the event. During this peaceful protest, he shared his vision of a future in which “this country will rise up and live out the true meaning of its belief, which is: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.'” The march culminated in King’s most renowned address, known as the “I Have a Dream” speech, a passionate call for solitude and equality, that many consider a masterpiece of rhetoric. A year later, the Civil Rights Act was approved, and a year after that the Voting Rights Acts was approved. Martin Luther King Jr has been an inspiration for many people.
