Two great men that inspired thousands and millions to act on their behalf wither it be bad or good. Their words alone made people feel what they felt with out even meeting them. These two men were vastly different form one another but in some ways acted similar. They both led movements and large amount of people to act in ways that they would not have with out them to give them a push. Lets see what these two men that some would call one amidst some of the most inhumane people in the world and the other to be a breaker of chains and father to the civil rights movement.
Martin Luther King was one of the front runners of one of the biggest movements in the history of America. He wanted America as a whole to change not just the whites but the blacks as well, so that we could learn to live together as one people. One fought for the right to be treated the same as the whites with the same rights and life that they have. But on the other hand one fought to take that very thing that King was fighting for away form millions. But the one for sure is that they have something with in them that help them be able to change history in there life time. They both did something that most people around them didn’t think they could do or didn’t think that anyone one would do it. Wither it be mass extermination or freedom and peace. They believed in what they did or where doing at the time and wanted it so bad that they died for it. Martin Luther King Jr was killed by a racist white male who did not like what he stood for and all the problems he was stirring up. As Chris McCandless once said, “I now walk into the wild,” a phrase that not only represents a future with unknown mysteries, but a phrase that finishes the puzzle of his and Martin Luther King, Jr’s life. When looking at a historical or inspirational person, you may notice they operated outside the usual bounds of society to achieve a particular purpose. Such is the case for McCandless and King. Martin Luther King had developed Source B, based on the 10 Commandments, these were very similar, to the real 10 Commandments. Martin Luther King had lived through the Beatitudes, he was a man of God, and had faith in God and wished peace upon the world. Martin Luther King was a peacemaker. Dr. King had spoken about ending the Vietnam War in particular. This refers to Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God”. He had lived out this Beatitude, because he created peace between the African American People and the White Americans. Martin Luther King wanted to see peace amongst African Americans and White Americans, He wanted all racism to end, and for all people to be equal. Americans needed Martin Luther King Jr., but above all, America needed him. With his constant pursuit for equality, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. helped bridge the gap between African Americans and whites. His nonviolent methods of protest helped create an awareness of the inequalities that African Americans had to endure. King helped America realize that it needed to change in order to truly prosper. Martin Luther King had the best philosophy for riding America of segregation, he used nonviolent methods to get Americans to realize that segregation needed to be stopped and he united both African Americans and whites together to fight for equality and a better nation.
