Martian Zombies: A Short Story

Martian Zombies "Honey, what have you been doing in your room since this morning" Avninder's mom said annoyed. "I'm making a robot to search other planets for life" said Avninder while he was looking for a part.

His mom sighed, "Well honey it's time for dinner"

Avninder loved summer break, it gave him time to build robots. He never liked the name Avninder so all his friends called him Jack. He didn't play any sports, and barely ever went out of the house. He was excited to go to his last year of High School and finally go to MIT.

Jack was working all summer on his probe to go to mars. He wanted to make one he could go in but his parents and college decided it was a bad idea.

School for Jack was only 4 days away, but School didn't scare

Avninder's probe was a complete success; it drove smoothly on every surface, was able to pick up samples, and was able to lift itself up after it falls. Space Z wanted to make sure the probe would be fully charged and make sure it wouldn't unlatch during lift-off. Space Z decided to keep the probe, and would invite Avninder and his family for lift-off. Luckily Avninder already connected his probe to his computer and wouldn't have to worry about anything else. On his way home he felt really sad, he didn't know why. Till he remembered the battery he lost. He felt so irresponsible. He knew it would be quick because now in 2100 it only took 6 hours. He had all is computers set up at his house and would get right back to watch it fly onto Mars. Just then he remembered he had school the next day, and he wouldn't be able to watch it searching all around. When he went to school the next day he couldn't think about anything but his probe. When he got back he got back, he had three messages and an unfixable error code. The three messages say: "HELP," "ZOMBIE PENGUINS, A LOT," "THEY WILL ATTACK EARTH." Avninder was unusually scared but happy at the same time. It was the most eldritch feeling he'd ever had in his life. He didn't know what to do. When he showed Space Z they didn't believe him, they just said it was a glitch and it would be fixed soon. He told his friend about, and his friend, as any friend would do believed him. His friend named Bob helped him convince others. When he told his parents they thought he was hallucinating from the cold he had a while ago, or that he was just not getting enough sleep. They next told his priest, and hoped that he believed them, but he thought they were lying and told them they had to repent and confess. So far only Bob believed in Avninder and Bob was beginning to think like everyone else. The last person that Avninder told was the president, Michael Khalil. He sent him an old fashioned way of sending a message
