Martha Stewart is one of many female American entrepreneurs today. She’s been through so much and conquered it all. She is mainly known today for two totally different things. In 1997, she came up with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. MSLO is a different mix of medias that give helpful DIY (Do It Yourself) tips. From different food recipes to tacky, but nice looking, home decor. These different types of media include her own TV show, magazines, and even multiple cook books. She recently sold MSLO for $353 million on December 4th, 2015. Martha Stewart was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on August 3, 1941 to Martha and Edward Kostyra. Eventually, her partner became tired of working with her, and Martha continued their successful business alone. The business boomed, and Martha became increasingly popular. She later opened her own retail store and her popularity still increased. Eventually, she co-authored a book and started to appear on television. Her rise to fame grew, and she started her own magazine and television show. Martha Stewart is most known for completely changing the way people lived. Her businesses changed the way the households of our entire world were displayed. She changed the ways of cooking, decorating, gardening, catering, and living for many people in the world. She gave people many different ideas on new ways to lighten up their living space and better their meals. She is also known for her second main thing that I mentioned earlier. In 2004, Martha Stewart spent five months in Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia. Then in March of 2005, she was released. Other achievements of hers would be winning 2 Daytime Emmy’s (1997 and 2010/2011) for the category of ‘Outstanding Service Show Host’ for her Martha Stewart Living show.
