After an hour and forty five minute drive I was home. I still had over two hours of prime hunting left. I saw several deer that afternoon but they were all too far away for a shot. Just before dark I had a doe come in to about 125 yards away. Knowing that there was little chance that I could hit the deer I took a shot. Sure enough It was a clean miss. Disappointed I hopped back in my car and headed back to East Lansing. The next day I got up at five in the morning and headed to Muskegon. The next Tuesday my roommate and I decided to try are luck again. My roommate and I went to high school together and we had always been hunting partners. I had a class at one o'clock that day so we could only hunt till eleven that morning. We were in the field a half hour before light. I was optimistic that I could get a descent shot off that morning.

When school was ending my sophomore year I realized that I was going to be bow hunting that fall, and that I had better start to practice shooting. I practiced shooting everyday. I thought it wouldn't be too hard to get an elk, all I had to do was be able to hit it.
It was going to be the time of our lives. Four buddies of mine and I went out to Jackson, Wyoming to do some of the best snowboarding of our lives. It was our chance to get away from home for a week and have the best time of our lives. The trip out there was extremely boring driving through Iowa, Nebraska, and Wyoming. Possibly the three most boring states in the country.
...ll a doe because I wanted a buck, but I remembered that my father had once told me that bucks tend to follow doe's around while trying to mate, so I waited with such anxiety and nervousness along with that adrenaline rush and a buck walks out while seeking the doe. I then tried to slowly lift my gun to get in a ready position and I bumped the side of the deer stand with my gun because I was shaking very badly. Well, the deer quickly hear the bump; the buck in particular, and ran away leaving me in a sense of uneasiness and great madness all because I was so nervous in that certain situation.
The first day we were there we just hung out at my aunt’s house and relaxed after the seventeen hour drive there. The second day my grandma and I went to the beach, laid out in the sun, and got tan. Pigs are now growing into a sport. As some people may know there is an organization called the FFA that helps young students get involved with this. The student basically pays for the food, medical, bedding, and anything they need to take care of that pig and raise it. Once they do that they enter a show and compete for who has the best looking pig. There is a series of requirements to win such as how they walk, how they look, and if you can control them. I was beyond excited and it was diffidently a dream come true for me and I won't ever forget how exciting it was and all of the memories my family and I had made together that week in Florida. We did so much stuff together. We all went on so many fun rides and got to see so many interesting things together and experience so many interesting things together. That vacation will forever be with me and i could not be anymore thankful to have been able to go on that trip and have the loving family that I have. When summer time comes around people get excited about swimming , taking family vacations , but for me it is fishing with my grandma. Nothing is better to me and my grandma than throwing a poll out in the water and kicking back in a chair and waiting. Growing up my grandma would take me to do a lot of things as a child but fishing was my all time favorite thing to do. Sometimes on the weekends we would take little road trips for the day and in the back of the truck was always my fishing pole. My grandma would pull over on the side of the road when we would pass a river or a creek and we would always get out and look over the rail to see if we seen any fish , if i seen a fish i would run to the truck grab my pole and throw it in the water. As a child fishing just came natural to me it wasn't something she had to show me how to do for hours it was something i just naturally picked up.
When I was a young child I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I would be full of excitement, because I knew that we would be going to a place that I had never seen before. My parents, my brother, and I would pack our luggage and venture out in our small gray minivan. Three of my most cherished memories in our minivan are when we went to Disney World, the beach, and the mountains.
Going on a road trip with my family means the world to me. We drove to another state during summer vacation, and it was by far the best road trip I have ever been on. My family and I were able to go to many fun places. We ate so many exotic and delicious foods as well. Yet most importantly, I spent time with my family and their friends. It was the day when my family and I went to California for our summer vacation.
One of the most enjoyable things in life are road trips, particularly to the Colorado mountains. Getting to spend time with your family and friends, while being in a beautiful place, is irreplaceable. The fifteen-hour road trip may feel never-ending, but gazing at the mountains from afar makes life’s problems seem a little smaller and causes worries to become a thing of the past.
