LCD/Flat panel monitors- LCD is Short for liquid crystal display. LCD technology can be found in computer monitors. LCD displayer is the monitor; the main purpose of a monitor in a computer system is to show text and graphics, which are generated by the computer. The LCD monitor is connected by a cable. One side of the cable is plugged into the back of the monitor and the other side of the cable is plugged into the hard drive cable port. Computer case- A computer case is also known as a computer chassis, system unit, base unit or simply just a case. Sometimes they are referred to as a CPU or hard drive. The cases are mainly made by steel solid cover. Inside the Computer case there is the hard drive and inside the hard drive there are other components such as the motherboard, USB ports, power supply, Central Processing Unit (CPU) and Random Access Memory (RAM) Hard Drive- A hard drive is the scale of a paper-back book however heavier .The sides of the hard drive have been pre drilled, threaded holes for easy mounting in the 3.5 inch drive bay in the computer case. The back of the hard drive contains a port for a cable that connects to the motherboard. The Hard Drive has many components inside it such as the motherboard, USB ports, power supply, Central Processing Unit (CPU) and Random Access Memory (RAM) Power supply unit (computer)- If there is any component that is completely important to a computer, it is the power supply, without it, a computer is just a box full of metal and plastic junk. The power supply converts the alternating current (AC) line from your home to the direct current (DC) which is needed by the personal computer and then pass the current to each component for it to perform its task. Make sure all the cables are plugged in and that the Liquid Crystal display (LCD) Monitor, the keyboard and the mouse is plugged in as well. 2. When the computer is starting up, the monitor will have a blank and the computer will be loading and setting up. After it is set upped, it will show that everything in the computer is functioning well. 3. After that is done I will log on to my user, by using my keyboard and pressing ALT, Ctrl and Delete. After that I will type in my username and password. 4. When the computer is ready for usage I will use my mouse to go on the Start icon and left click on it. 5. When on the start menu there will be a list of various applications, but the only application I will need to use is Microsoft Word 2010. I will drag my mouse on to that icon and left click on it once and wait for it to load up. 6.
