Finding the job that is perfect for you can be a difficult endeavor. Most people still don’t know what they want to do after college. After gaining some job experience, finding that perfect job becomes easier. This is what happened to Lisa Stewart. She finally found her perfect job or should I say jobs. Lisa Stewart has several jobs. First and for most she is a wife and mother of two girls, but her first paying job is being a dietician at Council Bluffs Community Schools, and second she is a Infant Nutrition Lab Technician at Methodist Hospital, though this wasn’t her original plan. Lisa Stewart works full time at Council Bluffs Community Schools as a dietician. She is in charge of 16 public schools where 70% of the school population is in poverty. The first thing she does when she gets to work is check emails, voicemails and “put out fires” as she put it. She basically deals with any last minute details and gets everything ready for the day to begin. From 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m., she is available to teach classes to students. During the classes, Lisa likes to bring in fresh fruits and vegetables for the students to try. She tries to choose relatively cheap produce so that the students can actually purchase the fruits and vegetables. She talks to the students about the economic aspect of buying from local farms; how it can benefit the community. In between teaching classes, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., she is available to help at lunch in any of the 16 schools, whether they need someone to help with serving food or something has gone wrong and they need her assistance. If she’s not out teaching classes or helping serve lunch, she is putting together lunch menus and paying invoices for the nutrition program. The end of her day consists of checking emails and dealing with any last minutes details before heading home around 4 p.m. to be with her
