Many times throughout history only one side has been provided to make history. And while this take the biggest amount of all history it makes it no more correct.. Robert Morgan's, “Lions of the West”, backed with quotes from: “The Way to Rainy Mountain” by N. Scott Momaday, “Chief Joseph Speaks” by chief joseph, and “Thomas Jefferson’s America” by Stephen Ambrose is true in stating that history cannot be seen only by the actions of great men and that a overview of all men is required to make history true, though few “better” men will be remembered. The book “Lions of the west” by Robert Morgan, specifically the chapter titled “There Is No True History of the Westward Expansion”, Was written specifically to prove this thesis. Louis and clark were one of these few people. In ‘Reporting to the President by Stephen Ambrose, on many occasions there are parties to celebrate louise and clark for exploring the west. Even so as they did deserve this loise himself said ”this warm and undisguised expression of friendship by those, whom the earliest emotions of my heart compelled me to love, is, in believed, that I have discharged my duty to my country on the late expedition to the Pacific Ocean.” N Scott Momaday, a indian writer has in recent years wrote a book called “The Way To Rainy Mountain” Detailing the true histories of the tribe, along with the legends of his people and his own personal feelings of who he is and the moments that made him this way. Another account of History to never be told or written down but in this book is a brief true story of a brother who must save another by walking over a row of greased buffalo heads.This story stirs an emotion of complete faith and love, and is an important story among the tribes it effected but it is rarely found in textbooks.
