Somehow, someway, could humanity unfeignedly be linked through interpersonal communication? Some say one thing always leads to another. Hence the fact people always communicate through one another. We can apprehend interpersonal communication leads a connection between individuals. For instance, the film Crash is an intense viewing of interpersonal communication in our modern society. It is utilized as a method of experiential learning (a method of acquiring knowledge whereby the person learns through lived experiences, experimentation, simulations, role plays, or viewing videos and film) in classrooms that focus on communication (Fritz). There are infinite amounts of questions, because humanity is all unknowingly interfaced through interpersonal communication.
First of all, it is essential that we completely understand interpersonal communication and what makes it so vital. Interpersonal communication is a selective, systematic, ongoing process in which unique individuals interact to reflect and build personal knowledge and to create meanings (Wood 22). According to Abraham Maslow, humans communicate to meet a range of human necessities. At the most basic level, humanity needs to survive, and communication helps us meet our physical needs. As well as helps us satisfy our belonging, safety, self-actualization, and self-esteem needs. The possibility of accomplishing these human needs solely relies on our ability to participate effectively in a very diverse social world. Participating adequately in a diverse social world is also crucial for success in professional life (Wood 17).

Humans are innately born to interact with others to understand the different perspectives, and learn the cooperation and engagement through developing interpersonal relationships with others. An interpersonal relationship is an association which is formed between two or more people based on love, support, or even business commitment. Different types of relationships can form between family, friends and in romance. Development of human interpersonal relationships begins with the attachment that is formed during infancy. The early attachment formed between the infant and the caregiver affects the child’s expectations of trust and shapes their behaviors in forming other relationships in later life.
