Throughout my life I’ve always had a knack for good music, and the second I heard Lil Uzi Vert I knew he was a great artist. Once he released his new album Luv is Rage 2 before even listening to it, I knew it was going to be amazing, and no surprise it was. The way Lil Uzi portrays himself as an artist in this album is phenomenal. In each of his songs he uses different unique styles which make each one different from the next. In Lil Uzi Vert’s most recent album, Luv is Rage 2, he displays his brilliance throughout every song with the flow of the beat to the lyrics and the deep meaning behind them. In music a lot artists shape their lyrics in a way that catches the listener's attention, but in no way connecting to the them. However, Uzi finds a way to create this connecting within his lyrics while making the his songs catchy at the same time. Through this song Uzi is able to connect with those people who are going through the same thing he is. There comes a time in every ones life where they need to separate from their parents and do things on their own, and that’s what Uzi is expressing in this song. While being catchy and relatable Uzi finds a way to incorporate a deeper meaning into his music. Throughout the album in songs like “The Way Life Goes”, “Feelings Mutual”, and “XO TOUR Lif3” the theme of loss is present.
