Päivyt Tallqvist, Director, Media Relations of Finnair, stated, “The lighting scenarios for Finnair’s Airbus A350 have been designed specifically for Finnair A350s, and each flight has their own pre-programmed scenario. For example, blue skies and white clouds as customers are boarding, soft light to wake people in the morning, etc. The mood lighting is designed to help the customer adjust to different phases of the flight, and there are pre-defined lighting scenarios for example for boarding, rest, meal, landing.”
Tallqvist stated the manufacturer Vertti Kivi deSign designed the overall cabin interior for the new A350s, including the lighting scenarios-which enables them to change the setting to something like Northern lights or Aurora Borealis lights and other very-unique design that no other airline has been able to promote in their cabin yet- is the scenario of clouds.
