Lifelong learning has been demand in this 21st century as the countries go to be industrialized; changing in warp and fast technology, growing of information access, and enhancing global interactions (Laal, Laal & Aliramaei, 2014). The need of this lifelong learning including the developmental needs is felt for adults as well as the children and adolescents. (Laal, Laal & Aliramaei, 2014). Therefore, the purpose of this writing is to discuss and understanding deeply the concept of lifelong learning, its importance to individual and relevant community, and the common methods of engaging in lifelong learning. There are various form of learnings such as formal, non-formal and informal that forming to lifelong learning (Laal, 2011). The different between formal and non-formal learning is the environment where the learning occurs. Formal learning usually takes place within institutions that consists of a structured and organized context such as formal education and in-company training that often leads to formal recognition and qualifications. Non-formal learning is a learning that is made up in planned activities that are not specifically designated as learning but contain an important learning element. Informal learning is described as learning that happen in daily life activities that related to work, leisure or family. This kind of learning usually referred to experiential or accidental learning where valuable skills, knowledge and attitudes is attained.
