Life
People’s lives in this world are full of the good and the bad; happiness and sadness, and through it all everyone decides their own destiny and fortune. In comedies, much of the story is predictable because comedies use the same fundamental characters and ideas. If these characteristics of comedies were applied in real life, the result would be very boring and dull. These qualities include always having a happy ending, stock characters, and fecundity of life. Many times in life, nothing will go the way it was planned. From not receiving a good grade on the last test to not getting the girl, many things in life simply do not go the way they should. Everyone knows this, understands this, and accepts this as a true fact. However, in a comedy, this possibility is not allowed to occur. Whatever is being sought is eventually gained no matter what the odds or consequences. It would be nice to get matters to always work out; however, that would also take away the thrill of achieving a goal against the odds. To reach their goals, many people have to overcome obstacles not sure about what lies ahead or the eventual result. This adds to the pride of finally attaining that goal. If the possibility of failure were removed, then it would take the satisfaction out of accomplishing a goal. Knowing and associating with a diverse group of people makes life interesting. From friends to acquaintances, the many different qualities that people possess make life exciting and different. If everyone were one-dimensional and fit into a certain role life would become very boring because nobody would be different. No one in life has a set role as a miser or lover. Everyone brings their own uniqueness to the world weaving a tapestry of diversity. Fecundity of life means the celebration of life. In comedies the characters are always at big dinners, parties, weddings, or fairs. In real life partying all day and not having to work to earn anything would be great for a while. However, it would soon become tedious as well as unfulfilling. Achieving goals through hard work makes the reward that much better.
Socrates a classical Greek philosopher and character of Plato’s book Phaedo, defines a philosopher as one who has the greatest desire of acquiring knowledge and does not fear death or the separation of the body from the soul but should welcome it. Even in his last days Socrates was in pursuit of knowledge, he presents theories to strengthen his argument that the soul is immortal. His attempts to argue his point can’t necessarily be considered as convincing evidence to support the existence of an immortal soul.
We all hear the term “monopoly” before. If somebody doesn't apprehend a monopoly is outlined as “The exclusive possession or management of the provision or change a artifact or service.” but a natural monopoly could be a little totally different in which means from its counterpart. during this paper we'll be wanting into the question: whether or not the govt. ought to read telephones, cable, or broadcasting as natural monopolies or not; and may they be regulated or not?
The two ideas of female gender roles and women’s rights collided throughout world war II. Due to the rising need of jobs being filled while men went to war was the basis of the new workforce for females. As time went on females rights evolved, and WWII was the basis of this progression. This is why World War II is considered a “milestone” in the womens workforce. Due to all of the changes in World War II women now have the ability to work in any profession they want, and have the same rights as men.
In the book “Phaedo,” Plato discusses the theory of forms with ideas that concern the morality of the form. There are four philosophers that are expressed which are Phaedo, Cebes, and Simmias regarding the execution of Socrates. Socrates is presented in “Phaedo” on the morning of his execution where he is being killed. He tells his disciples Simmias and Cebes that he is not afraid of dying because a true philosopher should welcome and look forward to death but not suicide. A man should never commit suicide. He says that we are possessions of the Gods and should not harm themselves. He provides the four arguments for his claim that the soul is immortal and that a philosopher spends his whole life preparing for death.
I am one of 63% of Americans that consider drug abuse a problem that should be addressed primarily through counseling and treatment, rather than the criminal justice system (Drug War Facts). The United States seems to have lost sight of the principles of incarceration. The extraordinary number of non-violent drug offenders sent to prison every year portrays a nation sending the wrong message disregarding whether prison is ineffective, cruel and costly compared to other ways of treatment. This can change; drug abusers must be punished and rehabilitated. Michigan must adopt treatment as the cure to healing this increasingly growing disease. With the correct form of sentencing and rehabilitation, recidivism rates will decrease and Michigan will win a battle in its war with drugs.
Too many people are spending time in prison because of an addiction; experience and common sense also dictate that a large percent of these recidivists are addicts whose crimes stem from their addictions.
The author, David Treure, Ojibwe from Leech Lack Reservation in northern Minnesota, grew up on the reservation. He describes the Rez Life by using people’s stories and somehow connects these stories with historic evens. There are over three hundreds Indian reservations in the United States according to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. When you go to one of these, you will see the sign of welcome. The Rez is not much different from others. The landscape is the same. The fields, lacks, pines, swamps are the same. The houses just a little smaller and ramshackle. Kids who play on the streets are darker than other. Most of cars seem older. There might have something else that are different because Rez has its own culture.
‘Das Leben der Anderen’ (The Lives of Others) is a striking example of how a director can convey narrative links within a film by employing various styles and film techniques. The Lives of Others relies upon these visual means to assist with the telling of the story as much as it relies upon the script. In this selected sequence of the film, several narrative links are drawn here to form the conclusion of ‘Operation Lazlo’. These narrative links are further cemented by Donnersmarck’s use of various lighting styles, diegtic and non-diegtic sound, revealing camera shots and intricate mise-en-scene.
Without humor Romeo and Juliet would be even more depressing than it already is. Life is the same way. Without humor, life would be sad and boring. Humor corresponds with entertainment. When a person is sad, someone makes them laugh. Whether they make them laugh by telling a joke or making a funny face, comedy is the first resort to make any person happy.
Make a list of tasks you need to finish each day, then rank them in order of importance. Give yourself permission to finish only the most important tasks today, and let everything else go for another day or delegate them to helpers.
When a woman gets pregnant, she and her partner make a serious decision whether they should give birth to the unborn child or abort it. However, sometimes every couple can have a different outlook about giving birth or aborting because every male and female has his or her ways of thinking. In “Hills Like White Elephants,” the author, Ernest Hemingway tells a story of an American man and his girlfriend, Jig, who have a disagreement in the train station on the subject of whether to keep the unborn child or to abort. However, the author uses binary opposition of life and death to portray the polemic argument a couple encounters regarding abortion. As a symbol for the binary opposition of life and death, he represents the couple’s expressions, feelings, and the description of nature.
The next argument is called “the affinity” it simply reiterates that the world of the forms is superior to the world of senses. This argument is intended to establish only the probability of the soul’s continued existence after the death of the body. The soul is more like the world of forms. The body is the mortal part of us, the part that passes away. Which makes him believe the soul is divine. If the soul is freed from the pleasures of the body, it’s most likely to participate in the world of forms.
The argument begins by making a distinction between corruptibility and incorruptibility. This distinction made is that because the body is corruptible, and the soul is viewed as a substance that is incorruptible, an explanation is needed as to how the soul can continue

If there is one way to bring a smile to someone’s face, it is laughter. Funny jokes, comical stunts, sarcasm- Every person is different when it comes to what makes them laugh. Some find dry humor comical. Others think sarcasm or joke-filled ranting are the best. ‘Comedy’ is such a broad term, broad enough to allow everyone to find something they find comical.
