What is library automation? How do you use and maintain a library automation system?
• Automation is a software package used to assist building level librarians with the management of the library catalog (OPAC-Online Public Access Catalog), circulation, material and patron activity, as well as the production of a variety of reports and statistics

I had an interview with my partner Her name is Juliet ,she is from Africa ,she moved to the United States with her husband and two children about 3 years ago . She is glad to come to the United States now she is living in the city of Fredericksburg with her husband and children ,she lives in the apartment, so asked her what do you like and what you do not like about your home ? She says I like my home because It is a good community and sometime i do not like it because i live at the second floor af the apartment and my children play at home it make my neighbor upset . She says I would like to buy house in the future and i would like to move from this Apartment . She says she has two kids, one boy and one girl and she is married ,her cousin also lives in the United States , most of her relatives live in her home country and she misses her mom more than anybody else.
When the initial time and place of the interview is in place, I will mark it down on the calendar. The introduction to Yaswantie’s interview could have gone more smoothly. I jumped right into the interview after asking her how she was. I could have explained that I would be asking her a few questions about her college experience and I could have also explained to her that if she ever felt uncomfortable with a question, she didn’t have to answer it. She would have probably felt more comfortable during the interview. However, when I interviewed Basmatie, I made sure to mention what I was interested in learning about and that she didn’t have to answer any questions that made her feel comfortable.

The Library Commons at Olathe Northwest is a natural extension of the secondary library’s traditional mission in a digital world. My library offers a wide range of elements to foster student learning in new and creative ways. My goal is that this space fits the need of every student. Students who need to complete an assigned task that calls for collaboration can meet in the library and plan, discuss and complete their assignment. At the same time other students can be searching for a great book or looking online for sports scores or prom dresses. The forty computers in the library offer access for any student who walks in the door. And just in case more computers are needed, a wireless laptop can be called into service.
Library managers should organize technology-based training for librarians in order to make them comfortable with new technologies and more aware of their dangers. Since technology skills are important part of most library and information jobs, librarians should make sure they acquire technological skills continuously. University libraries should employed qualified information and technology specialist and troubleshooters to maximize system accessibility and provide a level of comfort to the librarians.
