Letter to a Pen Pal- Original Writing
Dear Michael,
I am writing from a small cramped wooden slum. It’s on the pavement
next to a very busy road. I am in Bombay, Bombay is a bustling city
and there is too much pollution. Bombay is very congested,
Half of the population have no services or jobs; most people who live
in the slums make traditional cloth and clean them. Most people have
migrated from neighbouring towns, citys and countries. Like kuru where
the river was polluted which crippled the fishing trade. The main
reason that people moved away from kuru is the textile market for new
opportunities and jobs, because Bombay is the centre of commerce. Most
of the people who migrate live in rural areas.
I have seen up to eight people in one family living in a
tiny shanty with hardly any food or water. Every one in the shantys
work e.g clean clothes or make cloth. Even though there are over a
million shantys in India they are actually illegal but the police
don’t tend to do anything.
I get my food from the mahilamilan which means women
together, they teach us a class every week and we learn things like
maths and English. In turn me and many other children collect scrap
metal to sell, we give all are money to the mahilamilan so they can
in a row for men and more than 4 drinks in a row for women (Kowalski,
How are you doing ?I’m ok .Mama got caught in a dust storm in the packing sheds .She got valley fever .It means that she swallowed a couple of dust spores. Most people just fight it off,but she didn’t. So mama is in the hospital. She has been there about three months.I think she will be fine in a couple of months.
The purpose is to provide a character reference for Bob Simmons whom I have known as a classmate, roommate, and friend for a period of six years.
It was one month two days and thirteen hours after Father had given me Sandy. I heard Mother and Father shouting one day.
@Jonah Johnson “The amount of restrictions this community puts on people is unreasonable, and I'm surprised anyone takes their pills and abides to be bleak being of Blood, skin, and flesh, and doesn't riot” (Johnson 2). In your post I don’t fully agree with what you said. With the new chapter that we read we can give an educated guess on why people act the way they do. “I do not understand it. You members of the community will not understand it, either. Perhaps Jonas will, because the current Receiver has told us that Jonas already has this quality. He calls it the Capacity to See Beyond" (Lowry 64). The “Capacity to See Beyond” and Jonas’ job of Receiver of Memory’s makes me wonder if the Receiver of Memory’s keeps all the things like animals

I hope this letter finds you well. I just wanted to thank you for giving an opportunity to be adopted. I know it was not your plan to set heartache and pain in my life. Also, I want to thank you for giving me an opportunity in a lifetime to become more than what you ever were. I now realize that many times that when any painful memories came it was because of you.
Thank you to everyone who supported me throughout my trail to Eagle Scout! If I never had the support of those beside me, I most likely would not have made it through the journey. I would like to send a special thanks to my father, mother, brother, Mike Deloose, Jason Staver, and Matt Branch for teaching and directing me towards eagle.
The purpose of this letter is to express my concerns to have Amy around your family. I urge you to not believe a single word coming from her mouth. She is not your friend, she is a pathologic liar, has developed an impressive ability to play the victim and love to manipulate people around her to cover her laziness, lack of organization and her endless lies.
Foremost, let me say this may be unusual, me sending you a letter and all, but by the time you finish reading this I hope it’ll make more sense.
Letter from an Unknown Woman (Max Ophüls; 1948 United States) is a melodrama film that revolves around a woman’s love for a man who does not acknowledge her existence. Like the other films Max Ophüls directed in America, Letter from an Unknown Woman focuses on “impossible love” (Danks, n.d. p. 98).
The innate behavior of communication is unique when referring to human beings. According to Robert M. Krauss, “A species ' survival depends critically upon its ability to communicate effectively, and the quality of its social life is determined in large measure by how and what it can communicate,” (Krauss, 2002). The variability and flexibility of language and its medium dictate how the message’s subliminal meaning and quality will be received. Language allows human communication to be transcribed onto many diverse platforms. Krauss stated, “All communication systems, regardless of how simple or complicated they may be, operate on the same principle: Signals transmit messages from a source to a destination,” (Krauss, 2002). It is society, however,
It is impressive where taking a chance can lead. Only a year ago I was doing my best to get through the college application process As much as I heard about how classes in college would be different from high school, it was still an adjustment. I did well academically during the first semester, completing it with a 3.4 GPA. Yet I know I could have done better still, and that I can do better this semester as well. The first round of tests will begin next week, and after getting a glimpse over the last few weeks I know it is within my reach to make an ‘A’ in each of the courses I am taking. Although the total course load I am enrolled in for this semester is on the high end, 19 credit hours, I know that by planning things out and using my time efficiently I should do well and not fall behind. In addition to the courses from my major, engineering and calculus, and am taking three classes as part of a minor in business, and a kinesiology class. The two remaining classes, which are also the ones I am the most excited for, are ‘Design Process’ and an engineering research elective. The reason I am excited for these two classes is that they are different from any class I have previously taken.
I belong to Shahdara which is the northern suburb of Lahore, Pakistan. The word Shahdara refers King’s way. In the 15th century, it was the gateway between Mughal Empire & Lahore. It is famous for quite a few significant Mughal architectural puts. Shahdara Bagh also is one of most popular and prominent spot. Although this habitation was formerly built on the Ravi River bank, it is at this time situated in the middle of the river near the Ravi Bridge due to variations in the river's course
