The second characteristic is determination which is the desire to get the job efficiently and correctly. When you are a determined, you are being proactive and taking initiative to get a job done which is what most leaders do daily (Northouse 25).

As stated before, leadership is the ability to influence others to achieve common goals. Leadership does not suggest the trait or action of any leader, but it is a positive pattern of changes and ideas for new opportunities. For example, to be evaluated as an effective leader, you must have a follower. The leader and follower must have a planned and organized action and the plan or action produced will result in the solution to the companies’ current or future objective. Effective leadership requires someone to be educated, cultured knowledge, repetition and exemplified practices.
