Thesis Statement: When Hammond and a portion of his associates thought they were in control, the table's were turned and little did they know, the dinosaurs had gained control of more than just Jurassic Park but their lives as well.

When Hammond thought him and his associates had complete control of Jurassic Park, Nedry, who knew how to enter the computer system manually, shuts off the electricity to the whole Park. Nedry was hired by another company to steal the dinosaur embryos. The dinosaurs where not held captive anymore. The Dinosaurs began to attack and went on a killing spree. Dr. Wu labeled them with version numbers like they were some sort of software. Dr. Wu also combined the DNA with amphibian DNA to reconstruct the DNA of a dinosaur. The amphibian DNA allowed them to reproduce. (375) When the question about the dinosaurs' ability to reproduce came about, Hammond refused to believe it. If when the computer count was off, he tried to dismiss it as other smaller animals.(163) Hammond and Dr. Wu were offended by the mentioning of it being unsafe which made them dismiss it very quickly.(77/111/92) Reality then came to light, when Hammond encountered the dinosaurs for himself. Jurassic Park was designed to captivate dinosaurs similar to the way zoos captivate animals. (Crichton)

According to the article, The risk of zoological parks as potential pathways for the introduction of non-indigenous species, zoos have had an increasing rate of accidental release of animal species. The enclosures wasn't secured as they should have been. (Fabregas, Guillen-Salazant and Garces-Narro) Such escapes results in attacks as described in articles like Zoo escape attacks unleashed lawsuits and Animal escape artists: what zoos must learn from Tatiana.(Zoo Safety). According to Zoo escape attacks unleash lawsuits , "On Christmas Day 2007, 17-year-old Carlos Sousa was strolling through the San Francisco Zoo with friends when a 350-pound Siberian tiger named Tatiana escaped from her big-cat enclosure and fatally mauled the teenager. The tiger slashed Sousa's throat and clawed and bit the San José teenager's friends, Paul Dhaliwal, 19, and his brother Kulbir, 23, who were hospitalized for four days after the attack." They go on to say that Tatiana's enclosure wasn't deep enough according to Association of Zoos and Aquariums. There have been seven occasions nationwide where animals have escaped and attacked.
